Rewatched the replay last night. Much of it was delightful, some of it was a bit painful.
- Watching Mick is like watching an old video with an ex, knowing where it was going to go, why couldn't you just see through the plan, it would have made us so much stronger going forward
- Seeing Daisy gut running from contest to contest you can see he is trying so hard to win and please the coach, beyond the call, beyond what he does now at the Blues, and i think, why couldn't you keep doing it mate?
- How great Jolly was palming it to Pendles
- How many stupid frees Leigh Brown gave away
- How we relied on our key forwards Dawes and Cloke for movement and structure but not really for scoring. Dawes kicked a couple of nice ones, karate kick snap and accurate one from out wide
- How well Wellingham roved the taps, smooth moving like dare I say Wells might be
- How Blair played up the ground [into the back half] more so than strictly forward
- How gutsy Didak was with the torn pec, amazing he even could pick up the ball or lay a tackle
- How footy has changed, often there were people still in our forward 50 when the ball was up the other end. Doesn't really happen now, they all come up to half way.
- How the Rat Pack shared the ball around, particularly near the end, mates looking after each other
So today:
- Grundy gives us something different to Jolly, way different. Witts is more the Jolly replacement, and we are going to let him go? Or does Cox have his indicator on in the right hand lane?
- No one has as many brain fades as Brown except maybe Grundy, but they are more technical than brute force
- Darcy Moore is unlike anything in our 1990 or 2010 teams
- Treloar gives what Daisy did, but with more class and possessions but less x-factor, which is both good and bad
- Crisp and Greenwood are handy leftfooters like Johnno and Toovs
- Where is our Rat Pack type unity? They can be librarians who love chai lattes and cosplay, doesn't matter, do we have a group within our group that love each other's company and will play for each other and the club. DO THEY EXIST? Are they the Pokemon hunters? _________________ Get back on top. |

Can't they just hang out at The Tunnel, like the class of 1990?
Not like the President [eventually] of the club wasn't there too... _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

If club media is still running around the place bugging people, the loveable larrikin may be bred out of the club. Cant stand the fact they don't have privacy anymore. I must admit club media toned it down a bit this year. |
