You can't have leading teams in the same organisation as Eddie.

I think this is the logical finding.

Im all for timely, managed, open feedback.

However in an organisation where you are rewarded for praising the bosses, and boned if you become a nuisance, I doubt the program had much chance.

Swanny's personal development may have been a success story from the program. Or perhaps he was well advised to bite his tongue and play along.

I reckon its because a more mature group will get through all the concepts of LT better than a younger group. Our current age demographic is a fair bit younger to the Cats, Swans, Hawks during the past decade of their success. It was probably younger in 2010 as well.

More mature groups are wiser and have better advice/support to provide to one another. A young and developing group might become confused and intimidated. This can be a tumultuous period when at this age (20-23) they thrive with more positive reinforcement than negative. You can see this different style at the Dogs under Beveridge who I think understands the players are under enough pressure these days as it is. The demands of the players off the field is already growing at a rapid rate. I think I heard someone say 'they are all students now' which may have been a reason Clokey struggled to stay in the click.

I'm just hoping LT were cancelled because the group has gained what they needed and are ready to move forward with the lessons learned.

Good thinking points too.

Lets face it, our leaders - Pendles, Sidey, Browny have only ever known 1 working environment (1 president and 2 coaches) and it has been a tumultuous time to say the least.

It's not exactly the ideal background to be questioning the behaviours or methodologies of your Eddies and your Buckleys of the world.
It's why losing Mick and Walshy was so harmful.
Rocket and Balmey were there for financial reasons primarily and appeared to take the 'don't rock the boat' path.

It's why 99% of us are deep down are relieved that Gubby is there, no matter what the fall out.

True.

Gubby is a winner; he will renovate, relocate or renegotiate.

Whatever is required.

No wonder Cloke is leaving

Are we really the most professional at the moment? We seem to hit grey spots n the news a little too much

Why has LT worked at the other three clubs so well, what is so different about them?

I have to say that shit where a player is subjected to his peers telling him his faults really irked me, just seems wrong

For all we know LT has been used at about 10 clubs, yet only 3 clubs - Hawks, Swans and Cats - have won flags in recent years. Does that mean that LT has failed at 7 clubs? Maybe, the success of the Hawks etc has little or nothing to do with LT, but more to do with having great coaches? The fact is none of us know. All I know is we won our flag in 2010 without LT, and we have fallen down the ladder each year they have been involved with us. Then again, we all know that is purely Bucks' fault.
