So we swap two loyal premiership players who have bled for the club, one being our captain, for a kid who has played 2 strong seasons?
What a culture!
Somebody please close this down. |

Sidey has developed to be an A grader and has more to come.
To mention either of their names in a trade is an insult. |
Mentioning their name in a trade isn't an insult.
Anyone is up for trade, depending on the price.
There's the old joke about the bloke asking the woman if she'd sleep with him for $1M................... |

The Bont is legit! I think most people would take the Bont over Pendles toiday given age difference alone.
The thing the Bont has to do to prove he is superior to Pendles is keep this level of play up over an extended period. Remember that in 2010 Daisy Thomas had the kind of influence on games that the Bont is having right now and he flamed out.
In tennis, compare Matts Wilander (who flamed out once he achieved his career ambition of being number 1 in the world) to Roger Federer (whose driving force was to be GOAT).
Pendles just keeps doing it year on year such that we almost take it for granted. That year on year hard work to convert talent and ability into success is what Pendles has already done and what the Bont still need to do.
Remember always that ability * effort = Talent and talent plus effort + success. So success = ability * effort squared. And you never know how far players are prepared to go on the effort stakes over the course of a career.
With all that says, Bont is certainly tracking to be the best player in the league pretty soon. He is awesome! There is another guy at Carlton from the same draft class who is pretty special too by the way. _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

Maybe I should have explained the reasoning in the OP, rather than just ask the question.
Next time I'll ask, "What would you trade for Bontempelli?" It might have been a more productive thread.
I dont get the playstation reference tho?? _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |
