Post subject: Feeling happy and envious | |

Like most Nicksters, I was pleased that WB beat the Swans. We all love an underdog and Footscray/WB's history shows a plethora of reasons to be an underdog. So it's great that WB won. We're all happy!
But, then I was filled with feelings of envy. Wasn't it only about 3 years ago that we were well ahead of them? We went backwards. They went forward. They picked up Luke Beveridge and Marcus Bontimpelli. Apart from that, what did they do right? What did we do wrong? In my view it's an interesting comparison.
Whatever we've done wrong in the last 3-5 years had better be reversed; or otherwise, our future history might also show a plethora of reasons to be an underdog. |

Well even I can't blame Hine for not getting the Bont.
He was definitely on our first cab off the rank moment.
I won't indulge myself into buying into this except sometimes
you can do a Bradbury and come from behind quickly to win.
As some other poster said you just need to win when the opening is there. _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest. |

They started their rebuild 2 years before us, that's why they are 2-3 years ahead of us. It's pretty simple. |

I wonder how St Blunda supporters were feeling yesterday. A toe poke & a dodgy bounce away from back to back, and Footscray come from 7th and go BANG. _________________ I hold a cup of wisdom, but there is nothing within. |

Yep Bont is the early draft reward you get for years of utter ineptitude.
Never let it be said that the draft doesn't even up the competition. _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

In the 2013 Draft St Kilda could have chosen Bontempelli, but no they chose Billings instead.
Now Billings may be OK...but all in all St Kilda stuff it up yet again. |
