Lucky we got Scharenberg. We've got that spot covered.

Funny how Darren Millane is lauded.
He had an alcohol reading of .322 almost 3 times more than what
Shaw had.
Different time different world.

Which opponent are you referring to? He had several on the night. He had all the right to be telling others what to do. That's his job. And clearly there were breakdowns in defence, both as the ball was coming in and the choices made going out. Sure, you might say he needs to tone down the way he delivers the message. But as a senior leader at the club the younger guys need to hear it.

And that 55 meter goal from handpass from palmer was amazing. Should have been enough for GWS to go in to 3/4 time with a double digit lead. Look at Wilson effort on the wing with less than a minute to go. Wilson went for the mark dropped it and Boyd roves and the dogs are away. That ball should have been punched to the boundary and killed for a throw in.

GWS lairised a lot and didn't adjust for a finals game. They took unnecessary risks when all they had to do was play the percentages. And I'd say heater was probably pointing stuff like that out to younger players.

Is that you Heath??

Blaming others and diverting from your poor efforts.

We saw the best and worst of Heater last night.

Love him- but anyone who says he was anything but rubbish last night is delusional.
DOgs targeted him and got in his head- he was sucked in too easily and cost his team.

Watch how other teams will target him now.

Heath has served GWS well- but realistically has 1-2 years max left.

Haha Jesus bitter much. Dogs weren't in his head at all. Both sides were yapping and shoving each other all game. Shaw has been yapping at GWS players all year win lose or draw. You just chose to stick the knife in now cause they lost a preliminary final. Teams have always targeted shaw. Sometimes it works and most times it doesn't. The fact shaw kicked a ripper of a goal in the 3rd says to me they didn't do very well at putting him off his game.

Not sure how you get bitter from that??

Call it as I see it.
Love/d Heater-(and Rhys!) but he was ordinary last night.
HAs been great since he left us and always wished him well.

I would love to know why you have such a need to argue a few posters saying he had a bad game?

Perhaps you have too much time on your hands- watching the game again just to prove a point to people you dont know on the internet? You likely need a hobby- I suggest meditation might help calm your overexcited mind.

I agree with you that teams have always targeted Shaw- it was remiss of me not to mention Macaffer pantsing him in our game earlier this year- care to explain that one kind sir?

In short- most Collingwood supporters love/d Heater.
He was/is a bit of a loose cannon- and that is why he frustrates supporters.

I would still love him in Black and White- but its not my decision so I accept what I cant control- I suggest you try the same.

Back on topic.....Heath Shaw.
I support the Pies, he plays for someone else.
He plays for a team I do not particularly like.
When he plays against us, he will do his level best to defeat Colingwood.
To me right now he is no more than a opposition finger pointing arse monkey in a stupid orange jumper.

Heath's a brilliant player, but he's always been susceptible to niggle. When, like last night, he's not having a great game he can easily lose it to a bit of provocation and hurt his team.

Would love him back at Collingwood, but whatever the reasons were his behaviour in 2013 warranted him being traded. He must have been on his last chance at this point, his betting suspension was one of the reasons we gave up the flag in 2011.

Haha is that not what a forum is for. To debate points of view? I don't think he had a bad game. You do. And posters on here start sprouting shit like "his opponent kicked 4 on him". When his opponent only kicked 2 on him (1 of which was wilsons fault) and he kicked a goal off half back himself. What's Macaffer got to do with last nights game? Good on Macaffer for doing well on him. Nothing to do with last nights game though.

And as for mediation or finding a hobby thanks for the tip. Like plenty of us footy is a hobby for me. So when people saying "his opponent kicked 4 goals on him" when they didn't I go back to the source material and see if I was wrong. Thankfully, like most times, my recollection of Shaw's game was pretty much spot on.

Everyone on nicks has loved what Shaw did for Collingwood.
I won't debate the merits of his preliminary final and whether he was beaten or not.
However, his finger pointing and carry on looked like he had lost control as a leader he needs to be better than that.

In his last couple of years at the pies he let himself down which saddened me. Love or hate bucks, heater ignored his gameplan and carried on like a brat. I don't care whether a player disagrees with the coach or is upset with change. He was part of the team and the team must follow the coach otherwise it all turns to crap. He paid the price for not being a team man and to a certain extent he let himself down again the other night.

Must remember that after that abdominal elimination final Bucks had to find a fall guy to mask his own complete failure to asses the situation in the box on the night. I'm not excusing Shaw for his actions that game, but really there was a lot more to it.[/quote]

What rubbish, had to find a fall guy. We were not good enough simple as that, hence the decision to rebuild. Not Buck's decision, but the club's decision to rebuild and it was 100% the right decision, as was the decision to get rid of Heater. Stop rewriting history.

Some of you people actually make me sick.. How could you possibly bag this bloke. He is a born leader, he's team mates love him. Bad F...... Luck if he sprays someone, that's what men do, it's not netball its football. Pull your heads in, only reason he is there is because our coach is a useless tool who has no idea how to have a relationship with anyone.

Not Bucks AndrewT just a Collingwood member of 20+ years, who could see a number of Collingwood players playing with big heads, including Heater, from 2011 onwards. Big heads because people like you telling them how good they were in winning 1 flag in 2010.
They were able to get away with it in 2011, as they were so good, until round 23 where the Cats rolled us by 94 points and we all know what happened in the 2011 finals series. This big headed play was still evident in 2012, but they couldn't get away with it because they weren't as good as 2010 or as good as they thought they were.
For the record, Heater is one of my favourite players, but he was a disruptive influence in house and then became a disruptive influence on the field. Would love for him to be still at the club, but trading him was best for him and the club.

You have no idea mate. Heath was amazing around the club, not one player wanted him to leave and that's a fact. He was always arguing with Maxy on the field, very close mates. Good teams are full of players that challenge each other. Only one bloke who couldn't handle Heath.
Only thing you have right is that we got arrogant and just thought it was gunna happen. Would have turned it around again in 2012 if Mick was still there.

He's a great footy player but leader not so sure, the few times I've seen him out and about he's behaved like a total dick and to me it looked like the blokes he was with, one being his own brother, were thinking the same thing.
But a great player he is and I thought he played ok last night but those outbursts just encourage the opposition
