Brody you'll need to own that performance yesterday against (god forbid) Lachie Keefe. When it rains it pours!!! Zero kicks in a major final is about as bad as you can get. Your 2020 response shall be monitored. _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |

Maybe. But he needs the right structure in our forward line. He cannot and should never be played as a primary or co-primary tall target up forward. He is not an elite key forward. He needs assistance, that unfortunately Ben Reid was not able to provide. When Mihocek plays as the secondary forward target, he flourishes. Moreover, he (and all our forwards) were starved of opportunities, because we lost in the midfield. Don't think Mihocek is really the one we should be focussing on. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

Mihocek was part of the problem but not the cause of the problem. If you don't get a good supply of the footy, Franklin or Locket would have had a hard time kicking majors. Also at times, the forward delivery was extremely ordinary or created an unwanted turnover. _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. For the record, in 1977 a Port Melbourne bloke Graeme Anderson who Hafey loved, played in the 2 GFs for a total of one kick!!! Don't remember in which
game he got lucky 🙄 _________________ Woodsman |

That's not true. He kicked a goal in each game and nearly 50 goals for the year. |

I liken his performance to what the Giants would have got out of Himmelberg if Cameron and Finlayson hadn’t played. |

Seems to me Mihocek has struggled playing with another tall forward. That pushes him up the ground and he seems to get lost.
He struggled playing with Cox for most of the year I thought. When Cox went down Mihocek got better. Playing with Reid did not work, and given the conditions Varcoe should have played instead of Reid.
So yes Mihocek had a stinker but it wasn’t all his fault _________________ http://youtu.be/hvtdbfI1sqQ |

Yeah you always knew that Lachie Keefe deal with the Giants was going to smack us in the face. It did Saturday. I still reckon there was more upside to keeping Keefe than experimenting with Cox.
Cameron Mooney actually got zero stats in a GF and a flag with North Melbourne before they offloaded him to Geelong where he won another two. Some players are just born lucky. |
