I watched him play in place of Stevie J in the prelim. 135 was overs.
He'll kick some goals for Carlton - but not in any game that matters (of course, that's probably not an issue of any concern to Carlton, at the moment). |

I just do not see who he knocks out of that side, unless he plays defence. |
It stands to reason if he cant get a regular gig with us, why would the Premiers have a spot for him, especially with their game style. Crameri returns after the ban too. _________________ 'Collingwood are the Bradmans of Football'

Also they have Redpath coming back from an injury as well, also in defence they will have Robert Murphy back. Clearly going to be some trouble. _________________ Ðavâgé

Beveridge will be as frustrated as Bucks was with Trav kicking endless points and OOB, as will Doggies fans. I know three dog fans not too happy over him going there, reckon he wont fit their frenetic style, I agree with them too. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

The Pies are a very professionally run club, they know what they're doing. Of course it doesn't always go to plan, but they don't get this stuff wrong very often. |
Hmmm
And where r those flags? |
i think 2 grand finals appearances every 8 years or so is a fairly good return. Obviously we only won 1 of the 4 we have been in, but i would say we have been just as successful as anyone else this milennia other than Geelong and Hawthorn (and they have been extraordinarily run). |
We are spoilt and it is crap that we are crap but I have been through the 70's and 80's.
Losing GF after GF and also against the two most horrible teams in the AFL. Making finals every year is great but what's the point when you become the laughing stock cause you really just fail when it really matters. In-fighting, selling the world for nuf nufs, just horrible. But then when I saw Footscray and ST.kilda supporters never even winning one game, year after year I realised how bloody lucky I am that I support the greatest club on earth.
Doing it hard is tough but boy it makes the good times so much better and if you take it all in, it lasts a lifetime, so no matter where we end on the ladder I know for a fact that WE will win another flag some day, I betcha Richmond can't say that.
Let me tell you, if I knew that Richmond would become the pile of crap that they are after the loosing the 80 GF, I would have been celebrating with them rather than tearing every photo of collingwood of my wall. The same could be said for carlton also, although I find that hard to tolerate. _________________ May the seeds of hope bloom into the eurphoria of success. Go Pies |

Because Beveridge is a better coach than Buckley! |

If Clokey plays he will learn pretty quickly that the rabid fans who yelled at him have multiplied 20 fold and every time he touches the ball he's going to have to fight against not just the man on his shoulder whispering in his ear, but a whole gymnastics ensemble demonstrating a human pyramid around his cranium, encompassing both ears and his sinus tracts. _________________ Get back on top. |

And it turns out that we are going to be able to turn that fifth year into a draft pick or an extra player without having to pay a dime of that money. It also gave Cloke the ability to turn that one extra year into two extra years at a more sensible market rate.
Makes me wonder whether we really have any idea what goes into contract negotiations. The business of football is not...black and white. |
Yeah well done to us on turning Cloke into pick 76 that went to Brions as a part of Frost deal which basically netted us a 4th rounder and probably a marginal 3d round upgrade.

I read that Cloke said he can bring that "one or two per cent". Sounds great, dear Trav, "one or two per cent" of Nothing is still Nothing. |
