We still have some Parker's Pies stashed at the back of the Sherrin Stand so the feral drunks in the social club could eat in-case the banks wound us up.

Now speaking of best meat pies, when I was a young lad I worked in the city, and the old Flinders st station had this café down the end of it, long gone by now. It was manned by these old gals in crisp white uniforms, and I swear, they sold the most delightful meaty pies of all time, on clean white plates. The pies were oval in shape, and literally bloody magnificent, I cant recall the name of em, but they left Fourntwenty, Mrs Macs, etc far behind. I used to have one most nights after work, starving, and I have never had such fantastic pies before or since. Balfours make a kind of one like them, but it still lacks some vital ingredient. Those were the days, buying second hand vinyl LPs from Batman records, then a gorgeous pie to round off the working day the catch the red rattler home . Cool

Very interesting Piesnchess dude.

I have always loved my meat pies (although with a hot chilli sauce rather than a tomato dead horse) and I find Gillies right up there next to my grandma's home baked beef/chicken/lamb curry pies which were simply the very best ever!!! Razz

It has more the "Fremantle are now interested in." feel.

Though the dude with the laptop looks like he got caught looking up something he shouldn't.... Lol.

You've obviously got nothing else going on in your lives that you need to immerse yourselves in a tit for tat online.

At the end of the day I thought all our negativity was supposed to be aimed at the umps, not each other.
Woot..... go banana!!

Funny that!

Only yesterday I was posting that these negatives reminded me so much of the feral members in front of the Stand at Victoria Park in the 70's and 80's who spent all bloody day abusing OUR players from the under 19's, reserves and the seniors!!
And when a mouse like me (mostly a teenager those days) comfronted and challenged them, they would all get macho and shower me with abuse in various forms!!! And have yet another drink!!!
These negatives tulips on internet bloggs are exactly the same as those afore mentioned feral members at Vic Park all those years ago
. Laughing

The good old days eh? Didn't go to many games at VP, but fondly remember the cohort you describe...colourful language, insightful commentary...Cometti eat your heart out

Villies meat pies are the best i've ever tasted. Gillies are in the bottom half of the top 10.

You can still make good money being paid to take people's Grand Funk Railroad albums off their hands. Especially the Live double album.
