Oh dear, how sad, never mind.

Let's count Norm Smith Medals in a decade.

Overated award. I give you Danyle Pearce. Interstate journos will vote local as thats all they see. I am surprised Moore got that high considering.

WHY are the Magpies constantly overlooked for this award, ???? I cannot recall the last time we won the damn thing, like the Leagues so called Team of the Century, not ONE Pie, rigged and a bloody rort, let em stick this where the sun don't shine. !

Not a huge fan of the RS award but Moore's first half of the season was average at best so he's likely exceeded expectations to garner 9 votes.

Agreed, Jack. Happy with Moore in 5th as the players 1 through 4 had better years.

Please explain why it is overrated?
Previous winners include Buckley, Mitchell, Riewolt, Hanneberry, Goodes, Selwood, Deledio, Hogan, Heppell, etc

At least it is not a midfielders award like every other award.
Pearce had a stellar first year and won. Pretty simple really

For mine, criteria are too restrictive, specifically the age 1. Smith was easily our best 1st year player and arguably on par with any of the guys who finished 1-4 yet isn't eligible due to the age restrictions. The age restriction also lends itself toward it being a mids award as KPP types generally take longer unless exceptional talents like Hogan, even Goodes was playing midfield when he won unless I'm mistaken.

You've picked the eyes out of the best winners but there are just as many good average footballers who've won it.

Like with ANY award at any club really. Confused

There have been many good average footballers who've won the Brownlow, Norm Smith, Anzac day medal etc....... Rolling Eyes
