Without knowing what players we might recruit/draft this year, here's my ideal team for round one next year.

B: Maynard Keeffe Langdon

HB: Scharenberg Reid Ramsay

C: Aish Pendles Sidey

HF: Howe White Varcoe

F: Elliott Moore Fasolo

FOLL: Grundy, Treloar, Adams

IC: De Goey, Crisp, Wills, Smith

EM: Greenwood, Crocker

I can't see Keeffe and Scharenberg playing round 1 after being out of the game for so long. They'll need a few games in the magoos to find some form.

I'd like to see Sier demand a game in round 1 after training the house down all summer and dominating in the practise matches. I don't expect it but I'd love to see it.

Needs Broomhead, but apart from that it's spot on.

gee there would have to be a lot of improvement from a lot of players for Blair and Greenwood to miss out on selection in round 1.

Rude I think Keefe Langdon Scharenberg Ramsay Elliott will be lucky to play round 1. Would have thought those who finished 2016 well would be inline for round 1 barring injuries or absolute amazing form in the preseason games.
If Elliott misses Crocker comes in, if Keefe misses Brown would come on (assuming he stays) Scharenberg & Ramsays spots taken by Smith & Howe (Howes spot forward taken by Sidey with greenwood moving into midfield rotation) if Langdon misses Varcoe goes back DeGoey into midfield
Honesty rude I think a lot will depend on who we loss and who we draft to the line up in round1
I keep hearing Rance may request a trade from tigers and if so he should be our absolute priority signing and if it takes a draft pick and player to get it done then so be it he could be our backline general which with young talent down back would be ideal.

I must have missed those practice matches where Sier was dominating.

No love for Sinclair who was giving us a lot of run out of the back line and his skill by foot and decision making has improved.

Loads of love for him 7167 but his doubtful to play again unless they sort out his head knock issue. The last one was barely a glancing touch
Buckley said he won't play again until they can get specialist confirmation he won't continue to suffer concusion symptoms going forward

Correct. Sadly, I doubt Sinclair will play again. I think we will improve considerably next year if De Goey knuckles down over the pre-season and builds up his tank so he can become a midfield wrecking machine for us.

Ummm....I haven't see any yet either.... I was referring to the practise\NAB matches in Feb and March next year.

Scharemberg and keeffe back via the twos where they can get match conditioning.

Sinclair for Scharenberg. He'll have had 30 weeks off by then, so if he is on the list he can play, and if he can play he is a potential star, based on his best this year.

Brown for Keeffe. Nath has his problems in the disposal department, but that backline needs experience and I don't think of Keeffe as a clear improvement at this stage.

Howe for Langdon, crocker or Greenwood for Howe. Langdon is an ok footballer, but i can't see anything special.

Injuries will of course mean that we will have to play Sier, Langdon, Broomhead, nathan buckley, eddie Maguire and Helen Roden in lieu of most of the above.

However it lines up exactly, there is a lot to like.

Still no Sinclair Rudy? Injuries aside, his 2016 was excellent. He'll definitely be in our best 22 if fit.

I've been a long time Sinkers fan. In fact I started a thread singing his praises in his first year with us and I copped a lot of flak on Nicks for being so upbeat about him. Nevertheless, I've left him off my list because I genuinely fear he will never play again. His last concussion did not even involve any direct contact with his head. I hope I'm wrong and he comes back and enjoys a long career with us as his courage, skill and speed is desperately needed running out of defence. Sadly, I doubt he'll make it back. Still, wtfwik?
