Pass. Wink I still have painful memories of accidentally getting a bit dencorub on my testicles as a teenager!

Similar jar to the Vaseline I assume.

Mix some capsaicin oil in with that vaseline, make more than your eyes bulge.

I love Vietnam. You can keep Singapore, it's as though someone is following you with a broom and a vacuum cleaner. Mind you the food & the public transport is something else

You were on hols this time last year.

The food in Singapore - yum - beats Hospital chips Wink

I squeezed it on my toothbrush last night, woke me up fast!

Yuk! Mind you I've been known to put the shaving cream (comes in a tube) on my toothbrush more than once when I've left it out on the bathroom sink.

Yes in Hervey Bay watching the whales Cool

We didn't love Vietnam and Singapore is ok - wedding anniversary surprise for the hubby! Main purpose is to visit the bear sanctuary near Hanoi but needed to justify the cost so looked around the time and found the F1 and we missed out on Halong Bay when we were there a few years ago cause of a cyclone so will try again!

So whilst you are busting them riding I will be lounging around eating and drinking!

So the journey begins tomorrow:

Fly to Gold Coast
Pre-arranged Bus to Goodiwindi with a stop at Warwick to eat
Pull in at 7.30 pm
Get suitcases
Find tent
Will be cold in the first few nights - bought some long johns & brought the MND beanie
Saturday - register - collecct jersey, T shirt etc
Find bike box that has been trucked up from Melbourne
Re-assemble bike - or pay $20-$25 & get the bike shop that is part of the journey to do it for me
Start first days ride at a set time with introductions & the offical opening send off etc & off we go for the first day on and around Goodiwindi - 40 something km's
Yippee & good night folks - oops must pack the butt cream
Suitcase feels about 20kg.

May your butts be without pain and your thighs be without lactic acid.

Greetings for Texas y'all: on the NSW / QLD border:

First day was Saturday around Goondiwindi = 46 km
froze in my tent: memo to self: yes I should have bought a new sleeping bag. I wore: two woollen thermals & a polar fleece jacked to bed, a MND beanie, explorer socks, & woollen long-john thermals to sleep, warm to hot days.

Second Day: 63 km's last 20 very hard
G to Yelarbon
Desert & freakin' strong headwinds averaged 28 km's per hour by joining a small group of 4 women & 1 bloke all good riders
They love me as when it's my turn being 6'3" or so & being how should I put it "big boned" I provide good cover.

Third day today: Yelarbon to Texas: 74 km's distance averaging 30 - 35 km's/hour last 5 had a head wind but joined a big group who were delightful.

My knees are sore but I'm about to leave the local library & head of to collect my suitcase & then shower, freshen up, drink lots of tea, help the local primary school by making too many contributions ( did I mention the sausage sizzle?)

My experience is bike ride by tea & sausage sizzle.

Tomorrow a long ride with hills 104 km's to Stanthorpe - coldest place in QLD - also a rest day

Massage tonight with masseurs as part of the ride - Love me only 15 mins for $20. I've got sore deltoids - probably from gripping the handle bar too hard.

So far all good fun. Of all the states the QLD ride has the highest % of women participants & is the best organized in my experience - last year it was about 43%.

Where the Great Vic caps their ride at 5000 there are 487 participants this year. Last year there were 670.

Go Pies & tell that mason Cox he'd gotta stay

Cheers till the next time.

Left the deep heart of Texas & me with 590 of my closest friends rode:
100 km's
some mean tough hills
a gradient on some hills of 10%
a elevation of 1250 meters
did I mention tough hills? Man, there were some tough buggers
landed in Stanthorpe - coldest place in QLD - although I hear Melbourne & Vic are having a cold spell.

Today is a rest day. People can go on tours etc (winery country)
I'm just gunna rest, mosey into town, wash some clothes, finish my novel and get another one in town.

I'm off to get porridge and french toast which is being done for brekky
