Just got back to the hotel in Adelaide. Did the coast to coast ride although I took the 93 km option (Stirling to Victor Harbour) minus the ascent of the Adelaide Hills. Having said that there were some mean undue-lating hills & some underlating hills. The undertaking didn't provide employment opportunities for undertaker, fortunately.

Beautiful ride & country-side. Adelaide is a pretty city.

The only draw back , well there've been 2: flat car tyre last night - forgot we had one of those skinny tyres as the spare but the RASAC or whatever the SA version of the RACV are called were terrific.

The bus from Victor Harbour dropped people off at Glenelg - so it was anothet 15 km's to North Terrace or so.

I'm still looking for new temporary knees though

93 + the unexpected 15 back to the hotel along Anzac Highway!!

Surprisingly not too much ached. Had a fantastic 20 minute deep tissue massage on my back, shoulders & neck that was simply marvelous- about 1/2 hour after the ride in Victor harbour.

Also applied a huge handful of "Aussie Butt Creme" before the ride which did the trick Wink It's great stuff & saves your .... how can I put it.....crack Shocked Very Happy or perineum

Day 6 Stanthorpe to Woodenbong 104 km
Day 7 Woodenbong to Kyogle 60km
Day 8 Kyogle to Murwillimbah 76km
Day 9 Murwillimbah to Gold Coast 31 km
Day 10 Hospital

A typical day on Cycle Queensland

I rode to Frankston (up to the Mt Eliza turnoff) and back earlier today. I've been doing that about once per week for the last 3 or 4 weeks. Because of the inclement weather I haven't been riding much to work & back and been doing a few spin classes - boy do I sweat. Will gear it up these last two weeks to be in better condition.

I'm stuffed from today ride - lactic acid in my thighs & sore knees. Nice to be taking another 3 weeks leave Very Happy as I've been working very hard as we are just being slammed in the ED with assessments. However, that's another story.

Like anything, it doesn't take too much to ride & the more one rides the easier it is. The road bike riding people who ride real fast wouldn't be interested in this sort of thing, it's for any age.

Last year there were 3 or 4 riders in their 80's. Magnificent.

There's a licensed marquee & a lot of riders hit the pub - I'm too tired to drink & too self conscious of snoring in the tent so I avoid alcohol. I have lemonade and tea.
