Happy to offer a rookie spot to him, but I dont think he would be a option at FB. Is he an upgrade on Oxley? Probably not.
But still, he's managed to put together some great VFL performances, so again I wouldnt say no to a rookie spot.
Didnt feel like that long ago we were having a similar conversation about Kris Pendlebury. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

If Brown, Frosty and Marley go then there is not much left.
Our defence isn't looking very good going forward.
So we need to do something to address this problem.
I personally don't see much difference between Smith and Pendles brother

This. We're badly exposed for lack of KPP's and at least Ryan offers us something that we need rather than the Jong and Hoskins-Elliot types, that we already have.
I'm assuming that Cloke, Brown and Witts are leaving. So let's do the arithmetic. That's three talls leaving and we intend replace them with Jong, Hoskins-Elliot, Callum Brown and Josh Daicos.
This is plain dumb, stupid. Anybody remember the Rodney Eade coached Western Bulldogs sides back in 2008-2010. Brilliant fast running fleet of quick ball moving flankers and guess what? Rodney Eade never won a premiership at the WB.
This is what we're heading for at Collingwood in the next few years folks unless we urgently review our list strategy and bring on a few KPP's. Moore can't do it all and Reid is one injury away from retirement.
Meanwhile the canny Clarkson picks up Vickery from Richmond for next to nothing, the same Vickery who everybody here hates. When Vickery is starring for Hawthorn next year and Hawthorn is heading for five premierships in a row people here might start to eat humble pie, but I doubt it. |

Not quite tall enough or quick enough for a key AFL spot would be my assessment. Then again, wtfwik? |

If we draft or rookie list Indovino I'll be happy. _________________ "And that effort by Ezard was pathetic" - Don Scott. |

Ryan on a rookie list with some NAB challenge games to assess an upgrade would be a far more informed and less gambled risk than recent types like:
* Brenden Abbott
* Tim Golds
* Ben Hudson
* Pater Yagmoor
Upside worth the risk and with 3 seasons in the system his familiarity with culture and club expectations would increase chances. Oh yeah and his brother as captain would be a fair help. _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |
