Worst case scenario he gets a strike while Gubby gets a small fine. |
From the article it appears that they are treated as being one and the same. |
That's incorrect, 100%. |

Really? I must have misinterpreted.
"All of Whitfield, Allan and Lambert face the prospect of between two and four year mandatory bans if found guilty of deliberately evading or being complicit in seeking to evade a drug test.
A failed illicit drug test might only have drawn one strike under the illicit drug policy but in seeking to avoid a test, an athlete is also deemed to have sought to evade a performance enhancing drug test and consequently is open to a heavy penalty"

Collingwood will announce Graeme Allan as head of football this week after Gary Pert accepted his version of events today. According to this article from Caroline Wilson says:
•Pert claims it was his idea and not Eddie's to recruit Allan.
•Neil Balme has requested the club delay any announcements until he reaches a decision about his next club.
•Balme will have no say in recruitment matters going forward
•Derek Hine's future is uncertain.

Well Neil that really is amazing news.
I personally think Wada will make a statement with Gubby.
The admin at collingwood is looking pathetic to me.

The ramifications could be massive if the case was PROVEN. The problem everyone is ignoring is that the GWS is an AFL run club. All Board positions and staff are approved by the AFL as the AFL pays the bill. So the AFL have investigated the AFL. The perception is that they have to be seen to do something.
As far as the club goes, one could suggest we are imploding after another shit year on the field. In saying that, this is all innuendo and speculation driven by journo's. |

Swannie said it best in his retirement presser. Journos in the old days used to just report the news, these days they fish for stories by putting theories out and see what bites.
Think the whole thing will end up being a damp squib. |

What a spiteful little man Patrick smith is.
He is basically a more vindictive, sober Robbo or a male version of Caro.
Massive overreaction and contradictory throughout.
Clearly Ed/Bucks has pissed him off and he is using his position to pot them.
Zero balance- just straight and obvious trolling. |

Like your post calling out Eddie's bad captain's calls? What's the difference there? _________________ http://youtu.be/hvtdbfI1sqQ |

This is end of season and we need to address the issues which matter which is our list management, namely who is leaving and who are we getting for next year.
Admin issues are best left to the club and the AFL to sort out. I have no idea whether Allan is guilty or not guilty and I have no intention of reading the distorted viewpoints of Caro or Patrick Smith to get their versions of events.
If Allan stays I'm happy because I have respect for what he did at GWS and Brisbane. If Allan goes and Balme stays I'm happy because I like Balme. If Hine goes and we get another recruiter, it no longer matters to me, because he missed opportunities in the last years to pick up players we should have recruited in McCarthy, Cripps and Tim O'Brien.
I just want the club to get on with it and do their job, because politics I can get from the front pages of the newspaper. |

His article is actually a very balanced one, which begins admiring Eddie for the great work he has done for Collingwood and the AFL. |
