This is the main reason why I didn't attend.
I just couldn't muster up the courage to walk into that hell hole knowing that this match should have been played at Victoria Park! Poor form by the Yarra Council.

Might not know that until at least end of business this afternoon, perhaps not until the opponent is finalized next week.
I will say this, though (and don't take it to the bank just yet), that the 2nd prelim tends to be held on the Sunday. It's sort of a custom that the prelim featuring the winner of 1v4 gets played on the Saturday as a double-act with the Development League Grand Final.

Is that easy to get to by public transport from either Southern Cross or Flinders St stations?

It is. Simply take the 109 tram to Port Melbourne (stops next to Southern Cross at the intersection of Spencer and Collins) and get off at North Port light rail station. The ground is a short walk away.
