|
Was reading afl about membership.
We were 1 of 5 clubs to go backwards and dorks actually beat us on membership table.
Why have we skidded when 13 other clubs have increased ?
The club may need to look at its membership packages to get more members back on board ?

Hawks numbers don't really count as their hugely inflated by 3 game Tassie memberships.

^ a member is a member irrespective of whether they are three games or 17 games.

Yeah but generally only people who follow Collingwood buy them, Tassie folk only buy Hawks memberships so they can save a few dollars going to the footy.

Why would you be surprised? Hawks have won 3 flags in a row? Imagine our membership numbers if we did? Not surprised at all at the drop off in members.  |

| Numbers are pretty much irrelevant these days. Revenue from membership should be used to determine the "membership ladder". |

When considering our on field results in recent years I think our membership numbers have held up reasonably well. The Hawks have had to win 3 premierships in a row to beat us. It will be interesting to compare numbers when we are in the top 4 and the Hawks are a couple of years into a rebuild.h
