What it means is that Nathan Buckley is not in the business of picking the best 22 available, and evidence of picking his favourites.

Further evidence that he can not get the best out of many of our senior players.

Further evidence that Buckley should be shown the door.

You have to think so.

Same with Tooves ... what's he played? 1 game in a season where we struggled to have a fit 22.

Macaffer at risk too and also Goldsack although he has just got a late lifeline for now.

We could field a team next year with an average experience of about 50 games.

Can't agree with that. Whatever one thinks of Buckley as a coach, Cloke is sadly out of form and not deserving of selection. Selectors are mixing it up in the forward line trying to find something that works ... we'll see how it goes Friday, but on the face of it our forward line doesn't look bad - Oxley did well in VFL up forward, Moore is coming back from being injured in his best game (45 mins) for the club and White has been our best and most consistent forward this year.

Am I correct in recalling Oxley was a forward at Redlands?

Gawn for all money.
What is he worth on the trade table is the only question worth pondering.

Not much more than taking the (reduced 2017) salary off our hands now I would think. A few years back we could have got two high draft picks.

On current form, yes by a considerable margin.

If Cloke is out of form, then what is Bucks after 4 years and 21 rounds?

Whether right or wrong we have stuffed up here.
We don't have a crystal ball but this is a wrong call about not trading
him 2 years ago.
Maybe a good time for all the pro rebuilding mob to spurt their opinions.

So Oxley has kicked a few hundred goals has he?
We know Cloke isn't doing that well.
But you don't slide so far so quickly without some external issues.
And i reckon most but not all is the issue of Bux.

That would have to be the most laughable comment on this board for 2016.

Jesse White's perfomances have been a blight on, not only this club, but the game of Australian Rules Football.

funny as ..... their records for this year are almost identical.

Games - White 13
Trav 12

Avg Disposals - White 13.2
Trav 12.8

Avg Marks - White 5.2
Trav 6.6

Avg Tackles - White 2.2
Trav 2.3

Both averaging 1.3 goals a game and both kicked 14 points.

I think they're both pretty average, Jesse has a bit of flexibility ie; can ruck, but at the end of the day, we should get rid of both of them for a second hand HR and a Mal.

Late first round or early second, nothing less IMO, there will be a few clubs out there willing to back themselves to turn him around, Hawks (especially if Roughy needs the year off) and I can see the Tigers having an interest in both Cloke and Witts, we'll need their first rounder (say pick 7ish) to make that happen.
