Of course he is. If he's factually incorrect, as he was on this occasion, it's ok to point that out, too.

Worse than a bunch of 16 year old bitches behind the shelter sheds!

Cloke should stay. Even if just to stop him doing brilliant things else where. His size, his power, his intimidating presence, use it as a foil for Moore. 1 more season buddy, just one more .......

As I understand it if Cloke comes in for Moore next week that makes him illegible for VFL finals?

Correct weight Johnno if he plays AFL he can't play VFL
So the decision is this really
Play Cloke in the AFL side because we should play our best available 22 each week and attempt to win every game or don't play him in the AFL give him the VFL game and try to win a flag
Personally I go for option A we should at all times play our best 22 (considering the opposition and venue) and try to win every game in the AFL that's what supporters members expect

Love the VFL but we are an AFL club. Cloke plays in seniors next week, And VFL lands where it lands.

Bucks seams to think he's no good, if he's not what the coach feels is top 22...

If he was to be a part of our future, surely he would have played last night?

Leave Cloke in the Magoos and give the club some hope in the finals be it at VFL level. Next week is a nothing game, play Gault.

Cloke will play his final AFL game for the Pies next week. The VFL side will not miss him all that much.

He kicked nearly half their score against Port Melbourne last week and played one of the most dominant halves of football I've seen from a Collingwood forward since Carman retired. I didn't get to yesterday's game but I see that he kicked a third of their score again.

This is obviously a rather special, technical sense of the expression "will not miss him all that much" that you're using.

He's had a good couple of weeks but I don't think the VFL sides chances are going to be reduced all that much if Cloke doesn't qualify. There are far more important players in that team than him.

OK. 15 goals in his last 4 VFL games (Williamstown, Casey, Port Melbourne and Box Hill), including one game played (at Casey) in appalling conditions when he only kicked 2 (but was named in Collingwood's best).

I agree that there are more important players in the VFL team than him - but that is quite a different thing from saying the VFL side "will not miss him all that much."

Anyway, we'll find out soon enough, since Rohan Connolly reports that he's likely to come into the seniors for the Hawthorn game: http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/collingwoods-travis-cloke-set-for-recall-against-hawthorn-20160820-gqxgg4.html

Would be utterly insane to pick Cloke in the AFL this week so you can guarantee it will happen

I am not in the business of winning VFL flags over AFL but if he has qualified because the coach doesn't think he is good enough, to play him in the AFL last round and end up missing out on finals is stupidity.

May as well let him win a VFL flag on his way out
