Post subject: David Hamilton dead amid sexual assault allegations | |
|
The controversial photographer and filmmaker David Hamilton appears to have committed suicide in the wake of a series of rape and sexual assault allegations:

Another seeming case of "how did they get away with it for so long?". Sadly the '70s was a time when there was little protecting young girls (and boys) from predatory adult figures in situations like this. I just wonder about the conspiracy of silence and fear of consequences, much like with Jimmy Savile and Rolf Harris, that stops anyone from speaking up about what happened to them for decades. Makes you wonder how many other celebrities have never been held to account for their actions. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Actually, the scary underlying theme about these sorts of stories seems to be that many of these blokes seem to have been British or to have lived in England.
Maybe something for separate discussion - English ruling-class male sexual depravity? |
