He deserves it for the season, regardless of whether he deserves it for half a game.

It would be a travesty if the season ended and he wasn't nominated.Bucks comment on AFL360 was we had to get him there somehow.

I doubt he'll win it and I don't care.

Well done to him. Not overly fussed about individual awards. Thought Smith's body of work this season has been better but he's just too old.

Well done Darcy deserved it ages ago
As a side note I just went through the rising star nominations for a few years
Our best year for nominations was 2009 with 3 being Jaxson Barham, Brad Dick & Dayne Beams burn was won by Daniel Rich with Dayne finishing 4th
Also that year Jesse White was nominated (not playing for us obviously) and Dangerfield as well who finished 7th in the voting
Wonder which player we would all choose now out of all those nominated ?
We've had 34 nominations since its inception and never had a winner
Only GWS Carlton Bulldogs and us are the only clubs are yet to win the award
