Barlow

With our apparent late interest in Deledio and our early linkage to players like Harvey, Dal Santo, etc, is it a sign that we are looking for an established mid of sorts? (I know we signed Wells/Mayne, but....)

Michael Barlow is 28 years old. He wants to leave Freo.

If he is not involved in a trade today, its been mentioned that he could become a delisted free agent.

Is he someone that could fill a role for a season or two, or are we best to look at filling other roles first as our midfield seems well stocked?

If we got Barlow one of Crisp or Barlow wouldn't have a job. Different if Greenwood is offloaded which doesn't look like happening. But hey, if a KPP wants to come to Collingwood, I can't see whose job he's going to take away. Look at Dunn. Spends most of the season playing VFL. Almost guaranteed to play 22 games in the AFL with us next year if he stays fit.

If any club wants Barlow they can wait to the Saturday November 26 - NAB AFL delisted player free agency period (3) begins. I doubt if anyone wants to take a risk on him and waste a pick now.

No, we already have Barlow MkII in Wills.

People are too deceived by stats I think. Great bloke, gives it his all, but he's pretty much cooked. Can't kick over a jam tin and he's slow as a wet week. He's not what we need at all.
