Honestly, I feel like Maric is an upgrade on Witts after yesterday. Even after the age difference.

In fact, Blair is an upgrade on Witts in the ruck.

So we'll judge Witts on what was the worst game I've seen him play all season.

Isn't that what we do around here?

imagine if we were all judged based on our stupidest post? Many on this board would have been traded or delisted long ago if that were the case (including me). PaMigarno would have long since been jettisoned and would be posting on games played by Fev right now.

Well ur right. What can I say, I was absolutely pissed with the VFL result. And our came the kneejerk reaction. Witts has played well in the VFL, but his time is over at Collingwood.

Honestly, I feel like the VFL result was just a mix of players who know they are not coming back, therefore showing a lack of interest with the Bulldogs club being completely beaming right now.

As far as my worst post, well, Id hate to go back and look at some of the stuff I put up back when I first started. This could be a new thread; Post your worst post. Shocked

Listening to SEN 20 min ago and a caller said Richmond got rid of Ben Lennon.
I've seen Lennon play a couple games and liked what I saw.

In his player bio it is stated he is a serious talent and a vital part of Richmonds future. He is a pick 12 and a rising star nominee.

Just throwing it up again, like I did a couple weeks ago, I like what I saw of him.
If Richmond want him traded I wonder what they want?

Woo hoo SEN reports that Mayne on four years, Wells on three years and Dal Santo on two years.
I would take all those three because it wont cost anything in the trade period.
People say Dads Army but with Toovey McCaffer Swan etc leaving its like for like.
SEN also said the Pies put a 600k contract to get Marchbank but he nominated Carlton.
Collingwood are in for Stewart too!!!

No mention of WHE but if we got Mayne, Wells, Dal Santo, Stewart and WHE, I for one would be pretty happy.

Please note that because the three "grandpas" will cost us nothing I consider those three as bonuses and excellent for competition to our squad. If they are good enough they are "old" enough.
We have salary space so go for it.

i thought lennon was self-selecting due to lack of opportunities.

also on sen:

mayne 4 years
wells 3 years
dal santo 2 years

we all suspected this and all are tabled offers. wells is the only one that gets me excited.

Im trusting Collingwood have seen something in Mayne, maybe another Clement. My gut feel is they will put Mayne in the backline.

How about running him thru the door and out onto the street.
As for the 3 oldies.
Will help us move up one or 2 places on the ladder next year but it will help us slide backwards in 2 or 3 years.
It is only a recipe to save Bux's arse in the short term.

Could be like Howe was recruited for the Gunstan lead up role though and was darn good instead as our Gibson. We'll just have to wait n see.

Mayne and Wells make sense Dal Santo doesn't for mine
Mayne can play that really defensive forward 50'role we've been lacking some what and he averages a goal a game over his career and his age is fine
Wells buys us time to properly develop Brown and Daicos and gives us mor outside run and carry to support Treloar and his skills are very good.
Just don't get Dal Santo at all I'm afraid. He's slowing down markedly and his disposal has never been high quality so don't see what he adds
I was wrong about Varcoe hope I'm wrong here too
As for Stewart depending on what he costs he fits our profile fairly good

We are putting our faith in SEN now? Okay. Maybe I'll wait on that.
