Post subject: No finals again | |

Forget the emotional crap and misguided loyalties that exist on here! Has there ever been a time where, as a once powerhouse club, we have ever felt so relaxed about another year of no finals? I think not! The modern Pies fan is a mere duckling of the wonderful tough fan of years past! We are servants of our Club , rather than it serving us. We seem helpless to achieve change and accountability.
What administration of years past would have been allowed let this disgraceful on field failure continue year in year out? How could we sit back and find anything good in the last three years? I never thought I'd see the day where our Club would be weakened to this embarrassing disgusting state! Shame on we fans for not at least trying to save our club! _________________ I love this club and I hold anyone in contempt who does not think it is worth fighting for. |

Nathan said our best football is as good as anyone
and at time's it has been .
I cannot get why they can one week with pinpoint
accuracy with hand and foot and forwards moving
to ball winning positioning (see GWS game)
then week or two later fumble ,select wrong opptions and have fwds static where backs can easily spoil
Who instruct's them --line coach's or head coach _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

I understand the frustration with the performance of the team, but team performance and how the club is being managed are two separate issues in my view. The performance of the team in my opinion is totally unacceptable and you have my complete sympathy in expressing that viewpoint. However, in my opinion the club is being very professionally managed at the moment and the admin should be commended the way they are running the club. What we need to do is align the performance of the admin with the performance of the football department, which is substandard. How we do that is the $64 question. The simple solution is to replace the senior coach but the performance of the team, I fear go much deeper than the coach. |

Nathan I would say is demanding more finess than
is being produced which is frustrating everyone
including fans.
Availability of player's playing with each other has been hijacked by injuries so knowing each other's
strength's to work to/with has been missing a bit
We will be back but when is the unknown thing _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

I think the fire was well and truly lit after the first Carlton loss. That's when we all knew finals were out of the question. We've all been desensitised since then.
But hey, we've go a netball team, and a WAFL team, and a really good reception centre..............
I personally can't wait for the season to end. |

All area's need to be looked at which club's do even
in good seasons.
But as fan's frustrated by an underperforming year
we can only hope the club is aware of what's
needed

A major drop in Membership and Attendance in 2016 and missing the finals again will see more people drop away and reduce levels of membership thus decreasing revenue. All the spin in the world can't make up the lost income.
Who/What is to blame?
1 - The Board
2 - The Coaches
3 - The Staff
4 - The Players
5 - Injuries
What will change?
1 - The Board - No
2 - The Coaches - Maybe Some
3 - The Staff - Maybe Some
4 - The Players - Scapegoats for sure
5 - Injuries - No.
Same same but different in 2017 unless there is change at the top 3 levels. You can't always blame the players and the tail does actually wag the dog. |
