The North game showed that even with probably our best side for the year, we still are a long way short of being a finals contender. We are simply too inconsistent from one week to the next, and really can't sustain anything resembling good form for 22 weeks.

2017 - we are still in the bottom half of the ladder, but need to start being competitive against the top 8 teams

2018 - Should be aiming to go 11-11 with alignment between our players and the game plan

2019 - We should be aiming at finals.

2020 - Winning finals, possible top 4

2021 - Realistic chance of being a contender.

This will turn into a re-run of the Buckley thread, but i'd say we'll be there next year, in the 5-8 range

Yep.

2017 is either finals or new coach.

Have I gone back in time to last year!!! because I'm hearing a lot of parrots in here repeating the same dribble they did at the end of last season...

You need a new tune. Repeating the same line from the same song while adding northing to any other theme or thread (or even adding any interesting analysis to your one-note refrain) is just stinking up the board, really.

Please. Look I've read your analysis from time to time... and most of the time you're frankly kidding yourself... you're a complete amateur. I do not claim to be a brilliant football strategist in anyway whatsoever, and I'm not even going to try - but I know a loser when see one. And I'm going to keep on rattling on until he's gone... or I'm dead.

Kind of like Paul Lekakis (who is currently touring?)
Even if you stretch out Boom Boom Boom to the 12 inch mix, you don't have a lot of substance.

Yep, it's the Wolfboy remix ... doof doof doof.. sack Bucks.... doof doof doof... sack Buckley... doof doof doof. Repeat ad nauseam.

I am bullish about 2017. Just need a little luck with injury to get some consistency. No big changes required.

The next 12 months are crucial for Buckley (assuming he coaches in 2017 as I expect) and the club.

If we're not a finals team by the end of 2017 he's finished and the hard questions about our list and our functioning as a club in general will be questioned.
