nicksters, we have fully embraced the retro round theme that our beloved pay tv cartel has created for its own ends. we have done so because the last couple of week's have been an abomination and something needs to be done.

in embracing the retro round theme we haven't gone back to the 1920s and named some of our elder citizens but instead everything old is new again. we are innovators. we are bleeding edge. avant garde. yes, we will change it up this week by mimicking our somewhat wingless opponents. we will hark back to ye good ole days of the vfa and line up with no wings. and, to further support kb's push for a lower number of interchanges we are reverting to a two man bench.

this means some of you have missed out. this will give you time to reflect on where your passion lies at this point of a pointless season. for others, no doubt, the authoring of another long winded publication of aimless and irrelevant commentary on the state of the game and how you will rise up to rebel or fall down to pleonasm just to appease the fictitious belief you have more self worth than a pokemon.

A dozen dim sims were not enough to get us over the line last week, so this week I'm going to scoff a few spring rolls as well, to ensure I'm primed.

Great effort, no change for 2 weeks running, how ever do you find the time?

Me and me old Chelt HIgh buddy Lazza, both dropped, and yet our so called coach opens up with a retro speech, that mainly Nicks seniors will be picked, WTF ???? Bloody hell, I was gonna rock up in by original seventies bodyshirt, duffle coat with toggles, r m Williams rodeo boots, peace chain and flairs. This is an outrage, an unmitigated outrage. Exclamation Confused

I am reliably told that it was in fact Lazza, he was there on a bit of a holiday there.

Spring rolls? In retro round?

You'll eat Chiko rolls old son and you'll fkn like them. Evil or Very Mad

And piss off the Sth Melbourne market dimmies, it's marathon dim sims with black and gold label soy sauce all round. I've scored a deep fryer that hasn't had the oil changed since 1983 and I'll be firing it up before the game.

If you're really lucky, I'll lob in some of the Pluto Pups I found in the old freezer next to the deep fryer. There's no use by date, so they must still be good to eat?

This is we we fail. Coach can't be fagged attending selection committee meetings even after failing badly against the pauperoos. Probably doesn't attend training either. Don't let the door hit your arse on the way out coach.

BTW, the greatest of all Sri Lankan (and IMHO, the World's) teas come from Kandy. Fantastic tea country area of SL.
