I heard a comment on the radio today that there's no such thing as the perfect footballer.
Well, maybe he doesn't exist but what would he look like? What attributes would he need to have?
I'll start by listing attributes. If you want to go more detail by doing a mash up of past current players, go for it. I'm curious as to what others think.
My perfect footballer:
197 tall or thereabouts.
Endurance of Sidey
Acceleration off the mark of Judd
Leap like Nic Nat
Strong core
Agility of Daics (pre knees)
Goal sense of Daics
Brute Strength and general football ability of Gablett Snr
Ability to kick and handpass both sides equally as brilliantly
Set shot goal kicking of McKenna (or Lockett)
Team first mentality
Palming ability when in the ruck of Simon Madden.
I reckon this bloke could play literally any position on the ground and excel. The ultimate utility, the perfect footballer.
There ya go. What have I missed, what have I got wrong?
