The greatest field kick in the history of the Magpie football club has presided over a squad that 5 years later is as inept in its disposal as the "forgotten years" of 1995-2001 when we were in finals football purgatory. Lets see how:

1. Alex Fasolo: no left foot goes with the banana every time when forced on left side.

2. Jordan DeGoey: more clangers this year than chests hit. A rushed uncomposed kick "at this stage".

3. Brent Macaffer: 45 metres is his right foot limit and his left side?? I can't remember once any left side fluency.

4. Brodie Grundy: never seen him kick on his left

5. Jamie Elliott: so long ago since he played I can't remember

6. Tyson Goldsack: technically god kick, but can't hit a target when kicking out from full back: prefers the sky, long kick to a 50:50 contest.

7. Adam Treloar: his field kicking to inside 50 on the run is putrid. Adelaide game showed he can't exceed 40 metres when on the run. Hopefully its groin related and with another pre-season this shall be remedied.

8. Tom Langdon: like Goldsack he is a long but has "helicopter" tendencies and can just "kick vague" to the opposition. No left side.

9. Jessie White: kicks the miraculous and then chokes on the 35 metres out in front. Never a "clutch" kick when you need it.

10. Scott Pendlebury: a rare commodity who can kick both sides but his set kicking for goal is 30:70 at best and his 20 metre shot last night that was combined with a 40 metre run up and then kicked from 35 metres out whilst leaning back and slicing left was Travis Cloke personified!!

11. Jarryd Blair: 45 metres is his limit, no left side and NEVER kicks "clutch" goals like last night (hit post).

12. Matthew Scharenberg: jury out

13. Taylor Adams: historical a poor decision maker when arrived at club and has "improved" this dramatically. Left side jury is still out.

14. James Aish: Hallelujah! A rare player who can kick with both feet!! Keep playing him.

15. Jarrod Witts: solid left foot kick but no opposite side, albeit not that Ruckmen should ever be thinking of using their opposite foot.

16. Nathan Brown: has been auditioning for the PGA Tour since 2006 with his 9 iron & lob wedge kicks. Hate watching him with ball in hand.

17. Jono Marsh: when the heat was on last night, it was the "old Jono Marsh". Hurried kicks to the opposition, out of bounds and a real throwback to 2014.

18. Travis Varcoe: elite kick with both sides. Just needs to get more of it.

19. Levi Greenwood: kicked a 50 metre goal on right last night which was more an outlier, but his tendency to sky ball his kicks (aka Blair incident last night that could have been game changing) indicates he is a 6/10 kick at best.

20. Ben Reid: elite left, never attempts right which can slow down defensive transition.

21: Tom Phillips: play him for rest of the year. Looks elite.

22. Steele "dinky" Sidebottom: a lot of myths in football and he is one of them. He hits more feet and shins of players than chests and does so from 30 metres and under. Needs to improve.

23. Lachie Keefe: can he play effective footy?? Maybe. However he is elite on both left and right feet. Hopefully he can readjust to AFL life and replace Nathan Brown.

24. Josh Thomas: steady kick but it's been so long I am struggling to remember his left side.

25. Jack Crisp: no right side

26. Marley W: an abomination by left foot, right foot, left hand and right hand. Stamp his papers Nathan and for Marley disciple fans out there.... Shame on all of you.

27. Matthew Goodyear: kicks like Langdon: see above

28. Ben Sinclair: congratulations Ben on working on a well know weakness and coming out the other side. Others HEED!

29. Tim Broomhead: elite both sides. SOS Tim "GET FIT" you are needed.

30. Darcy Moore: excellent kick, hopefully he can find 10 more metres when his legs fully strengthen.

31. J. Ramsay: don't like his ball drop but he has shown improvement. Unfortunately though has the "worst" left foot in the side.

32. Travis Cloke: we all know, 50:50 at best for goal, no right side and simply a horrible technique.

33. Rupert Wills: 100 meter goal in reserves.... Play him

34. Alan Toovey: worst disposer of the ball since Jason Wild. Enough said

35. Brayden Sier: unknown.... please be a saviour!

36. Dane Swan: a tumbly fumbly floating kick from way back but some how has made it work.

37. Brayden Maynard: WOW that was greatest gaffe last night since Gubby Allan in 1984. He has no right side and looks like a dumb footballer despite a big left foot.

38. Jeremy Howe: was going to say elite however his "spearing risk bullets" to opposing players last night was a worry. Hopefully an outlier not the norm.

39. Ben Crocker: technically good but a 50:50 accuracy kick.

40. Josh Smith: looks steady and calm with ball in hand

43: Adam Oxley: like Goldsack, Langdon and Goodyear he is an elite long kick but has flaws in his "hit up" and "finesse kick" to a lead up palyer from 35 metres and under.

44. Corey Gault: your lob wedge spoon kicks from 45 metres out to the goal square were a death nail in your coffin.

45. Jack Frost: the 3 times a game he gets it a game are awful...

46. Mason Cox: what an example to a club that has $90,000,000/year in turnover. Highlights just how bad our other players are in terms of failing to improve their techniques.

47. D. Wyatt: jury out.

Nathan if you want to go down with the Titanic next year and be back in the media in 2018, keep playing recidivists. All I know is we are so slow to react to the modern game of having a "no dickhead kicking policy"! All you are doing to the Pies fans is "condoning" such mediocrity by selecting and retaining these blights.

He would do well to take a media gig before the finals, while his opinions still have some currency.

I get your point, but I'm not sure if legislating against poor kicking would help, even if Bucks did make it to Parliament; the High Court can be so finicky nowadays

You could legislate it, but I'm sure there's a law against doing it.

Hey Clarkson in 2004 upon arrival said to Gary Buckenara "ONLY PLAYERS WHO CAN KICK" and preferably left footers! Took Clarko all of an afternoon to set his club on the pathway to glory!

Back in the good ol days of drop kicks and stab passes, torpedo punts, League players were much better kicks, much better. Hell, we had a guy named Thorold Merrett, who according to Jack Dyer, could "stab pass a ball up a chooks arse at fifty yards " !

Have we called for a double dissolution?

Only if we had the grandfather/grandson rule we would have Zach Merrett!!!!
