What's the plan with this? De Goey has been fairly average all season (I think I first suggested he should be dropped after the Anzac Day game) and it seemed they were determined to play him, come what may, yet now they drop him when it doesn't actually matter?

Of course it matters.

I'm planning on going to the game and I want to hit The Mens gallery in a good mood post match.

Here's a hint - I've been staying in a good mood by not going to games since the Footscray debacle last year. Probably makes the Legends membership a bit redundant, though. Crying or Very sad

I can relate, I haven't been since before I went to the USA in May. Last few rounds CBF, easier to stay home and watch on TV, but ditto on the legends membership. The seat is paid for and the club gets the coin whether I show or not. The only ones losing from my non-attendance are the bastards who charge $7.50 for a cup of beer flavoured water.

I think he's been okay. Like to know if he's been carrying a niggle all season. I think they've taken an opportunity to "manage" him and he'll likely be back next round.

I think we are at that stage in our season when we need to manage some of our longer-term players, (remember players currently lobbying for two byes in the home/away season) - as well as wanting to 'team experiment' by bringing in other players in order to build more consistent team cohesion while also trying out players in new positions.

It is the never ending story!
He never gets dropped.
He never gets injured.
He never does anything of interest.
And I never never never want
to see him except running around in the VFL
with his brother!

Only when he ducks.
Which is every time he gets the ball.

Hate so-called passionate Pie fans who brag about their attendance disloyalty!! It makes reading their posts have the credibility of Ivan Milat giving tourism advice. Stick fat, turn up and bring a cut lunch!!!!

Perhaps I'm just expressing my own concern about it.

Stok, i've no doubt he is a nice bloke.
But we need him locking the football inside-50.
And not stinking up the joint like last round.

I see the AFL have thrown a lifeline to North by giving us Stevic. After the Firrito free last week they will be keen to be seen as being even handed by that maggot wearing 9 destroying us.Save your for that peanut and not Thomas DTM>
