Nick's Posting XXII Round 23: vs Hawthorn

it's a tough time of the year when we enter the last home and away round of the season. it's a time to farewell the servants of the club who have either been terrific warriors or chopped off at the knees or both.

we enter this game knowing that we can influence composition of the final eight and even though we won't be playing a an active role in the finals we can sure as hell make it a misery for all and sundry.

there are some nicksters who need to look long and hard at their lot in life and they need to ask themselves whether they are with us or against us. they say imitation is the greatest form of flattery but when it is a cheap $2 imitation from shanghai, victoria then we thumb our noses at it.

in naming the team, we really wanted to give farewell games to the likes of lazza, qldmagpie67 and piesnchess but we can't stand on ceremony or sentiment. time waits for no one.

in come some fresh faces who have earned their spot after doing the hard yards. we will take a look at neil, woftam and piedys. apparently raw hammer was aforward once upon a time so we give him another chance. out goes rudeboy who has had his cards and dim sims marked and we thank skids and the crackerjack for solid seasons. time to head to bali early.

As the big C for the team, this is the captains speech.

Short and simple.

Footy is a simple game. We have the ball, they have the ball or no one has the ball. There's only those 3 stages.

So when we have it, attack hard and use it well.

These pricks win games from turnovers in their own forward 50 so man up and tackle like they owe you money, tackle to hurt. Life membership to the defender who breaks Cyril's collarbone in a legit tackle.

Stay cool, stay composed, but lets redefine how unsociable football is played, on our terms.

A movie line that has been used before, "if it bleeds, we can kill it". They bleed, they will bleed. make them bleed and **** them up with skill, intent and physical presence.

Let's end this season on a high note. Seek and destroy.

Aside from the fact that one needs a friggin magnifying glass to read this pathetic team of sycophants, Lazza and I are now with the real Nicks team, on the other thread, the real tough one that takes no prisoners. This coach here plainly is past his use by date, needs a tap on the shoulder from the likes of Labors former hatchetman, Graham Richardson. LOL

Tonight is the coaches one chance to redeem himself for a god-awful season, If there's any Magpie player over 80KG eligible to play round 1 of 2017 they are a bloody disgrace to the jumper! I don't give a rat's what the AFL says or does, Hawthorn, with Geelong, are the dirtiest sides I've seen in many years, and they get away with half the rotten crap they do. Just once I wanna see US actually be dirtier than those thugs, and tell Clarko to bring plenty of crutches, and glasses of milk to put teeth in!
