To be clear BoG after being torn a new one in the first quarter is an absolute credit to Brodie Grundy. Well done son.

That was Sinclair's best game for Collingwood.
Broke lines, hit targets, was direct.

Jessica White's best game for Collingwood also.

I like Jono Marsh's work, but he will not be a KP defender long-term.
Don't play him on the big boys, it'll ruin him.

Sidebottom very good for 3 quarters, but terrible in the first.
One of the main reasons we were 4 goals behind at qtr time, but a major factor in us turning it around.

Happy for Caff. Well played, carried out his role with aplomb. And that goal was a nice little bonus.

Couldn't have copped surrendering meekly to those arrogant, mouthy twerps. Great feeling to have derailed their season for the second year in a row.

Coniglio mouthing off at Cloke after his miss is indicative of the generation coming through - 4 goals down, done nothing in footy or life, but smirking with chest & chin out whilst running his mouth trying to belittle a premiership player and B&F winner that's twice his size.

"Generation M" (m for mouth) - the generation that thinks they can mouth off without consequence. The world will turn again........

Grundy in the ruck, we won centre clearances after 1/4 time.

Full ground intensity at the ball and the man gave them no time and space. Every single contest we were in it.

2 way running.

Good ball usage, players running from behind the contest to create the overlap, precision short passing (yeah, I know, trust me, we did)

Overall, it was the intensity at the contest that put GWS on their arse, and they just didn't cope with finals style football.

ps, putting Caff on Shaw as a defensive forward helped too. Wink

fantastic, and thanks stui. I'm looking forward to watching the replay @10.00 am tommoz on fox.

it seems the hall mark to this team is pressure. bucks is wanting 100% from everyone who plays. no passengers.
you beauty.

What an awesome day out.

We were in a great position for Blair's wonder goal from the pocket on the run... one of the best goals of the year.

Skoda stadium is a really good set up. Plenty of room in the grandstand. Short lines for food. Good weather. Lots of kids kicking the footy behind the grandstands.

And lots of Pies fans having a party.

Brilliant day out at the footy.

Yea indeed. He is a gun of the highest caliber and kept the scoreline respectable for the Giants on his own.

As for the match, it was worth a 14hr return drive to see the boys in a memorable match. Great to see a sea of black/white. I actually felt a little sorry for the GWS supporters. They don't know a lot about footy and they were outnumbered (and out-yelled) this afternoon. (At least I can stomach GWS as opposed to the idiotic Swans' fans.)

Can Pies build on the last few weeks and give us something special? Who knows?

Dominating the clearances was a big part of it. Had 11 straight during the third quarter.

Dominating the clearances was a big part of it. Had 11 straight during the third quarter.

Clearances, work rate and our ability to start hitting targets was really what lifted us after quarter time.

We were dominated in clearances in the first quarter, so that was a pivotal reason for our turnaround in a short space of time.

Anyone with anything negative to say about today's game is just a messy guts.

Kicked straight when it mattered and was great to see Trav playing with confidence. He looks a half foot taller.

That's right Jezza. Without wanting to be too cute about it, though, reasonably accurate goal-kicking also played a big part. On another day, that second quarter might have been a 2.9 effort. Think back a week, eg, to our team's inability to punish the opposition when our boys had the ball. In that respect, the two performances were like chalk and cheese.

There's no hiding from the fact that today spelt the end of Nuckley's coaching career at Collingwood
How the hell can this sort of performance be tolerated
The "perceptive fellow" had bumped the sack thread to be easy to access
It's just not tolerable
What are the "perceptive fellow" supposed to do now ?
Buckely had every chance today to get us beaten by a large margin like predicted by so many "perceptive fellow" but instead he wins
Eddie and the Board must act and act now
They can't let the "perceptive fellow" down
If we play like this again next week and the week after what will that do for the morale of the "perceptive fellow" ?
Did you ever think of that Buckely before you had the players play like that ?
No you selfish coach you.
I'm beside myself with angst with the thought of how this will impact the sacks
It's just not good enough
Enough said
