Watched it on 774. Always hopeful but thought we may have lost it at qtr time.

What a wonderful win. Looking forward to MB's links from the Batcave.

Where is MU23? He hasn't defected has he?

This is a great fillip given our first game of the year.

Make no mistake, we will beat the Giants tomorrow and the football world will experience shock and awe as they witness Collingwood finally waking from its slumber and begin it's inexorable rise up the AFL ladder. Pies by 18 points. Cool

Well done Rudey, 1/30 is great going Razz Wink

Best win of the year. The results have not quite been there this year or last, but I have seen enough to suggest the personnel and game plan is there for us to be successful. Every time we've got it right in a game we've blown the opposition away, including the Hawks last year. As a young team without any stability it's impossible to sustain this, but that comes naturally over time, so I'm pretty happy with where we're at - the only concern is our tall forwards: will Cloke be competitive long enough or will our younger players develop in time?

It was absolutely awesome to see Cloke somewhere near his best. I hope anyone suggesting he doesn't have value in the league or for us was watching that game. So glad we went with our form forwards and dropped Cox who has really given us nothing in his time in the seniors. Kicking the odd goal is of little value if you're not doing all of the little things that someone like Cloke does and Cloke's worst game this year has been better than Cox's best for that reason. Outside of a few goals, Cox has provided very little.

Having Adams and a forward line back really made a difference. Cloke, White, Fasolo, Moore is a major upgrade on Cox, Crocker, Witts etc. And Brodie Grundy Shocked was amazing. Has been in very good form but took it to another level today.

Howe was great, Sinclair good again and the midfielders worked together and smashed their counterparts. Such an encouraging performance all round.

You mean our second ruckman Mason Cox who has kicked 15.7 from 10 games, 78 hitouts and 24 tackles? Compared to Trav [bless him he turned back the clock today] who before today from 7 games had kicked 7.9 and laid 15 tackles...

I think we need them both in and its Moore who will need to play Gunstan for a while on the flank. Hopefully Cloke is back permanently and we can enjoy the fruits of all our labours with Cox kicking them from close range and Cloke kicking them from long, with Moore kicking them from everywhere.

Yeah that's the one I mean. Some of his ruckwork has sometimes been useful, but his forward play has been of little and decreasing value. He's kicked some goals but outside of that there has not been much, few disposals up the ground, getting to too few contests and increasingly failing to stick any tackles. Cloke's early season form was the opposite, he was doing some things but not kicking goals, to me those things were usually of more value than the type of goals Cox was kicking. White has been in better form than Cox and deserved to play ahead of him today. I think Cox has shown enough to suggest he can be an AFL player, I just don't think he's in our best 22 right now.

An important stat: Adams had 10 clearances and 15 contested disposals.

He had been playing outside too much this year, great to see him back in the guts.

Yes - and I tipped that Caff would be brought in to tag Heater but I didn't think that made me sane, either.

Great to see him back, period.

With him in the team, treloar plays more outside which is win win.

Agree. Needs to get more Touches but when he gets the ball he normally uses it very well

His ball-handling was a little better today, too.

Anyone else have concerns with Moore and De Goey?

I don't think it would be the worse thing for Moore to go back to the reserves and get some confidence, because he hasn't looked like the same player since his injury. I'm just hoping that De Goey is suffering from the dreaded second-year blues, but I'm still optimistic he'll be a great player for us in time.

De Goey was getting plenty, just couldn't hit a target....He should come good, wouldn't drop him this late in the season, he will be better for the continuing run

Happy with that. Still lots of scope for further improvement, hopefully can take this form into the game against the Crows and notch it up to another level.

One benefit of living in Canberra - the game was televised live up here. Wat a joy to watch.

Aish was Quiet but he had Solid Game. Only had 11 Touches but lot ended in Scores and had 6 Tackles showing he tried hard.

Moore Tried Hard but not much went his Way

De Goey had a Shocker.

Treloar got lot of Ball but ball use let him down

Aish showed incredible skill a couple of times, today. He won some contests that he should have lost and he has better hands than any of our mids, save for Pendles and Sidey. I was very impressed - they can't all get 30 disposals a game - it is what they do when called upon that matters.

thats what GOOD footy judges say about aish. and trust me there arn"t many GOOD footy judges on here.
