Nah, dear old Gough was given a big PIes jumper by ray gabelich, our huge ruckman at the time. I actually think it was gabbos jumper, as gough was a big man too. You are confusing Whitlam with Menzies, ol pig iron bob Menzies was a rabid bluescum fan, he loved em. Razz

God forbid. the only good menzies did for footy was intervene so Ted Whitten could play in 1954 Grand Final. Gough pulled out of the scum when the it was realised Fraser was a prominent member.

In a lazy mood today, so I will only answer the last one, Harmes was so far outa bounds, that he actually bought a hot dog off kid in the stands, and still had tome to punch the ball back.

But the real question that has never been answered was did he get tomato sauce or mustard for his hot dog?

Surely both?

Correct except for 1.
It appears to me that it is a black back magpie as opposed to a white back magpie.
Anyway, maybe someone else can come up with a few trivial questions.

Have a careful look at the image in the following link and then answer the questions below:

http://www.antarctica.gov.au/__data/assets/image/0018/170730/varieties/antarctic.jpg

1. How many premierships did this black and white charmer win as a player?

2. How many finals has he won, so far, as coach?

(Apologies to Monty Python)

OK. Here's a couple

1. Name the players on the Collingwood Half Back line in 1979 who wore the numbers 24, 25 and 26

2. What football club was Peter Daicos recruited from

3, At one point under the Ranald McDonald New Magpies we had a Sth Australian as Captain and as coach. Who were they?

4. Should Stan Magro have king hit Kevin Bartlett before the opening bounce of the 1980 GF?

5. Lou Richards had a family link to Collingwood. What was it? (not his brother)

Good quizzes. I would like to participate with a further question.

My personal favourite question is:

Which Pies player played in three (3) consecutive games, which were all Grand Finals? Mind you, could have been the only person ever to do this. (???)

1-4 correct

5, Lou was the Grandson of Charlie and the nephew of Charles and Alby. 3 generations to have captained Collingwood.
