Commetti is an ex Freo coach in the WAFL, he supports them I am pretty sure.

I've heard that Commetti is a Melbourne supporter or at the very least has a soft spot for them because his favourite player growing up was Bob Johnson who played for Melbourne in the 50s and later played and coached East Fremantle.

He may also have Footscray leanings because he did play for their reserves team in his younger days.

I wouldn't be surprised if Commetti has adopted either the Eagles or Freo, more likely the latter as his new favourite team since they entered the league.

You'll miss him when he's gone and you have to endure the vacuous idiots coming up behind him...

I agree. Commetti is still one of the better commentators at the moment.

Commetti is what a commentator should be - informed, relatively unbiased, with a healthy sense of irony, a wry sense of humour, a voice that is pleasant to listen to, and a way of adding something to the story of the game without making himself the centre of attention. I'll really miss him. Of course they tried to talk the Dockers up on Friday, because they do so with any team that is lagging on the scoreboard but a chance of getting back onto the game. It makes for better television.

Bruce is gushing and sentimental and very irritating. I have no idea why he has the gig, to be honest.

Agreed. I think apart from when he's commentating Docker games he's fairly unbiased and very much worth listening to. McAvaney on the other hand.....

I personally try and take the commentary with a grain of salt. If I spend too much time getting involved with it, then I'll get disappointed.

I can handle Bruce he doesn't bother me too much.. Dermott on the other hand does annoy me. He's the only one that does out of them all. Oh and so does KB, but KB annoys me as a whole. I listen to Mitchell over KB.

Agree, easily in the top echelon of commentators.

Commetti always has a big love for any WA born player in the AFL, I have noticed he has gotten a little more excited when they play and have the ball.

Bruce has become pretty annoying as has most commentators.
