Don't forget Silas the albino backman. Will rooster torps from CHB. Six goal minimum.
Who needs forwards anyway. So last season. |

Given our injuries I think we're going to struggle against any half-decent opposition. I'm putting this year down to development, hoping that our luck eventually turns. |

^ Yes, with the current injury crop you have to take your pleasures from watching Cox, Crocker, Treloar, Sinclair Crisp, Phillips, Marsh and others develop, and enjoy the sublime skills of Pendlebury and Sidebottom, while forgetting about the scoreboard. It will turn eventually, as these things do. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

Too right; the future of the game is 18 HBFers running around for each team, doing circle work between the 50's _________________ "The last thing he expected WAS THE FIRST THING HE GOT!!!!!"

Our Monday forward line shall mirror the Port Game and we shall fail to kick 8 goals!!
Sad |
I agree we are missing a lot of goals from the outs - but I disagree that we can only kick 8 goals…
Crocker is a goal kicker - put him down for 1-2, Blair is due for a goal or two, De Goey is improving up forward - another 1-2. Varcoe needs to step up from last week and there are a few other senior players who need to do the same - they will each kick one and maybe more!
Expect goals from Varcoe, Sidey, Pendles and Crisp.
The Big guys will have the stage back with Cloke out of the picture. So Grundy/Cox/White and maybe Witts to kick 4 -8 goals together…
so at worst 11 goals and at best 22 goals
what is even more important though is kicking more goals than the Dreamons! _________________ Love us or Hate us... we are Collingwood - you can't ignore the Mighty Magpies!!! |

^^^ Is this on the theory that they probably can't all be as dismal as last week? Because, having watched them this year, I'm reasonably confident they can be, provided they continue to work at it. |

Realistically we arent going to do any better than last time we played them.. Put us down for about 9 goals to the Dees 16.
Im not expecting too much any more. Its such a waste for players like Pendles and Sidey to have a season like this week they are in their prime. _________________ ------------

There are some amongst us who thought Sidey was A grade by the end of 2010. |

It's not a bad call.
Removing the Essendon & Brisbane games, the Pies have only averaged just over 10 goals a game (just over 70 points total a game).
Fas, Moore & Adam have averaged approximately 6 goals & goal assists per game this year.
If you assume that 50% of these went to each other (e.g., Fas assisting Moore) then that leaves 3 goals to find.
Round 10 & 11 - only 7 goals in each game was kicked.
When the Dees have lost, their opponents scored on average 110 points.
When the Dees have won, their opponents average score was 80 points.
In essence, a 10 goal increase in output is required this Monday to overrun Melbourne - a total of 17-18 for the match. Not impossible, but where will the 10 goals come from? |

Averaging 10 kicks and 8 handballs a game?
Under MM, he averaged under 20 disposals but under Buckley he hasn't averaged under 24. Averaging more than 26 in 4 of the 5 years. These are not the droids you are looking for. _________________ Get back on top. |
