FREE SPEECH FOREVER!!!!

Yeah why was that thread locked? How can a thread that had over 100 pages just be locked?

Was clearly in the public interest, had no business in being locked down

The bearing is it's the reason (and the only reason) he still has a job.

It has nil bearing on his coaching ability but it does have credence to his ability to understand the game better than a armchair critic. As I posted earlier in this thread please submit your resume so we can see your credentials on judging his performance as a coach
If your Leigh Matthews your opinion would be respected. If your Mark Thompson your opinion in judging Buckleys ability would be respected.
If your just a loud mouth Buckley hater who never has a nice thing to say about him then your opinion won't be respected.
So far in a week you have blamed him for everything bar the plague.
Balanced opinions are good biased opinions are like buttholes we all have one and they generally stink.
I'm not saying Buckley can coach but I don't have the experience to judge him I'll leave that to the people employed or empowered to do so

He would give all that up in a heartbeat for a Premiership medal around his neck...

The ominous fact for Buckley is we've had a very soft draw. The second half of our season is the second hardest rated draw in the AFL.

We lost to Port by 60 points at home. Can you imagine what Adelaide and GWS are going to do to us in 4 weeks time away?

Buckley is near his end.

Yeah keep on avoiding the topic and keep wondering why Carlton with an aging wooden spoon winning side from last year and a bunch of unproven kids has now over taken us with a newbie coach who has served a proper coaching apprenticeship.

All relevant discussion points I'd say.

This
Blokes like this coach, dogs coach, aints coach...
Served their time... Players had no pre conceptions.
if ya want a game you have to earn a game.
List cloggers need not apply with these coaches...
Who else but us would hold all of-
Blair, Sack, Cloke , tooves, Gualt, and I am sure more...
The problem is rotting from the head.
Eddie down...
Eddie - past use by date. Done amazing stuff but please new energy.
Coaches.. Stinking the place up
List managers- see above
Players- need a review/ breath of fresh air re new coach and admin...
Probably the only constant now should be the unheralded people like kitchen and boot studded etc...
I love this club...
We are so far from a flag... We are closer to a spoon..

Haha in all honesty 8-14 is pretty optimistic. 6-16 might be more realistic. Depends how we go next week vs Melbourne I'd say.

Making a observation is one thing. Throwing out statements thinking they are facts is totally different.
Facts are not you or I could knowingly sit in judgement on Buckley as a coach in all seriousness
We can have opinions which are fine but should be stated that way like "it's my opinion the game plan is wrong" you don't know for sure it is because it could be the players who totally don't get it but that is something only someone on the inside would know.
Because you say something often & loudly doesn't make it right it's still only an opinion
Comments like Levi greenwood is a dud on a massive contract are false. He may be a ordinary player but you wouldn't have a clue of his contract. I'm guessing (which is also a form of opinion) he would be well down the pay scale behind Cloke Pendles Sidey Treloar Swan Howe White
I'm not sure what you meant by massive but a fairer statement would have been he's on to much money in my opinion
Like I said a couple times if you have the relevant qualifications or experience to match Buckley state them and people would respect it more if not everything you say is just the opinion which your entitled to but don't expect everyone to take what you say as gospel or believe it's correct

Well Perts record isn't that good is he allowed to make the call?

What about Eddie? He didn't even play a friggin game of AFL. He can't make the call either.

Alex Waislitz? Allysa Camplin? Forget about it. No AFL experience there.

Even Brendan Bolton couldn't offer an opinion on Collingwood since he doesn't have a pedigree or therefore expertise in coaching that Bux has.

Holy hell short of getting Leigh Matthews on the board we have no one qualified to judge whether Bux is doing a bang up job or spudding it up big time. The ladder and our own two eyes are woefully underqualified to let us appreciate the nuances of his performance.

Was going to write the same thing. It ain't like our admin and board have covered themselves in glory the past few years. At least Eddie had to nuts to call out the game plan after the Carlton loss.

We've won 6 of our last 21 games. That is effectively a full season.

Only Brisbane has won less games in that timeframe.

Melbourne, Freo and Carlton in next 3 rounds. What is everyone's pass mark? On paper we should go 3-0. More likely to go 1-2. Surely if we go 0-3 the fat lady is singing?
