They needed someone to play half forward and the options were very limited.

Treloar had his Worst game for the Club.

28 disposals @ 78.6 efficiency (best, other than Smith's 81 and Sidey's 80).

His other 10 games must've been scintillating.

Ohh and Sinclair

And Sinclair was excellent? I agree.

Shat himself several times in close, just not AFL standard.

Smart move using a made up factor that can't be challenged by stats. Still complete rubbish, but got to give credit where it's due, making stuff up is the only way to fault an objectively quality game.

Season officially over if it wasn't already, no more games for Cloke, he won't be here next year so we may as well get games into Gault, guys like Sinclair-Blair-Maynard can disappear as well, not AFL standard and never will be, Frost is on thin ice as well.

You named 3 of our better players today

I suggest you watch the game again, this time with your eyes open.

For the record, Sinclair played very well:

14 kicks
13 handballs
77.8% disposal efficiency
9 contested possessions
4 inside 50s
4 bounces
3 marks
2 tackles
3 one%ers
0 frees against
only blemish is one clanger

Pretty insipid. To get beaten in contested ball by 25 says it all.

We really need a hard, strong and big bodied midfielder to smash open packs and deliver the ball well. De Goey should grow into that role, so I'd like him to be used on the ball for most of the remainder of this season, instead of used as a HFF.

I thought Cox played his best game yet, and will be a powerful weapon next year. I think our defensive unit are a bit slow. With Howe and Reid taking intercept marks, there's no role for Oxley, who is slow and not physical enough for my liking.

Once again, when we are being beaten, there seems to be a lack of on field leadership marshaling the troops and directing players where to go and what to do. Given our dominance in the hitouts, it was pathetic that we were unable to take control at stoppages.

Cloke tried hard, but looks finished to me. We'd be better playing another midfielder or small forward in his place.

Overall, a very disheartening performance after 3 weeks of very hard fought contested footy.

Good point all round, and agree re Leadership, we really miss Maxy in that role, Pendles is great, but not sure about real Leader.

I disagree. This was just one of 3 or 4 games where he's been part of the problem, rather tha part of the solution. Lots of disposals but too few kicks and not enough damage done.

Treloar was good but his trade kills the club this year.

I ripped apart my wardrobe for 45 min looking for our membership cards, got daughter and footy phobic hubby involved, finally found them at 12, took off immediately, got there on time, slipped on a steel grate and fell over on the way into the ground. I put in far more effort than a few of our players today and why? Because zoning is back, they know it doesn't work, it's exhausting, futile, dumb footy. Hopefully Eddie has a crack at the game plan again. Cos this is bullshit

This kind of response is really pathetic.

Leaderless on the field and Leaderless off the field. We are completely ruďderless.

Handballs that put a team mate under extreme pressure? 13?

Credit again for avoiding the impossible of substantively criticising an excellent game.

The only positive today was a slight improvement in the form of Varcoe in comparison to the last few weeks.
Crocker is a long term project.
Can't think of any other positives and I am really trying.
Oh yes, I thought Grundy tried hard.
