Wales decided not to turn up for the first 10 minutes of the second half. The Annoying One and Nani both scored. 2:0 to Portugal. 10 minutes to go.

Kind of feel happy about it.

Everyone over here has jumped onto Wales like you wouldn't believe.

We have a nice neighbour who had a Portugal flag hanging out his window, so happy for them lol.

It would have been interesting to see Wales in the final though.

Officiully taking the piss. That referee im France =Germany must be French. I have lost all respect for the sport after FIFA. To be honest I hope it collapses in Russia with the world cup. **** em. a major and they can't strop a cheat. Go on and pay zillions but they are still cheats. Iceland and Wales aside they have have disrespected everything sport is about.

So, Gexit it is!

For the first time in 817 tournaments, Germany will not play in the final. France lead 2:0 with injury time to go.

I'm predicting that France will win on Sunday.

Despite being in the final, I haven't been that impressed by Portugal's performances.

^^^ I agree. Portugal are mostly awful. I suppose there's some chance of Ronaldo turning it on but I think France have the more evenly-skilled of the teams.

Also, a team that can beat Germany deserves to win the tournament. Sure, the first goal was a penalty, but - as the video Yarra Falls End posted earlier in the thread reminds us - France have had that penalty against Germany coming for more than three decades.

So, (almost) one sleep to go until the final. France v Portugal starts at 5.00am AEST.

I'm backing France in this one - at least they could beat Iceland.

So, here we all are, watching the strange continental girl in the whit jumpsuit and wishing we were at a South American tournament listening to Shakira, instead. The Stade de France is alive with silliness as we wait for the officials and the players to arrive.

So, what will happen? Will it be Frexit or Porxit?

Here comes the Portugal team flag. And now their anthem. It sounds like something Bizet left out of Carmen. Great choir, though, and the crowd loved it.

And now we have a good song! Marche on! Marche on!

If they were deciding this on national anthems, France would have this wrapped up.

So, who will win the penalty shout-out?

The team lineups are introduced. Neither of Portugals greatest players will be there today. Eusebio and Manueline Rui Costa have left the grand stage for The Annoying One.

And we're off!

France doing the early threatening, here. But things are going ok down back for Portugal - Pepe hasn't fainted, yet.

First shot from France. If the goal had been 20 metres higher, it might have been a chance. And moments later, Griezmann strikes one wide left.
