In light of the revelation that Pies still paying Heater $70K of his salary, Mark Allen on SEN said one current Pies player is being paid a fair whack by their former club.

Any ideas as to who this player may be?

Wouldn't think it would be Treloar, Aish or Howe as they were all uncontracted, unless it is Treloar and that was part of the quid pro quo for the 2 first rounders for Treloar.

Any thoughts?

We haven't really recruited that many other blokes.
\Doubt it'd be Taylor Adams or Levi. My money would be on Jesse White.

Didn't we get Jesse as a free agent? Thought we offered him longer term deal than the Swans at the time, but maybe Swans were clearing cap space to accomodate Buddy or Tippet, so makes sense.

Doesn't matter if a player was contracted or not, sometimes to get a trade over the line a club may agree to pay part of his salary, could be any number of players.

Jesse White was traded from Syd to us for pick 44.

Mark Allen also said it was an "important" player at Collingwood, not sure that really applies to Jesse (even if he is playing well atm).

Jack Crisp.

Brisbane said "we really want Dayne and if you go as the player they want as part of the deal, we'll pay you $25k p.a"

Jack said "I would have gone for free but thanks!"

Wasn't Heater's salary component only for the 1st season?

Should have held his nerve and asked for $50K; they were desperate to get that deal done.

It was paid over three seasons to relieve some cap pressure.

There was an article in this mornings herald sun about this. Can't get a link due to paywall.
