| Post subject: WHY no Bronze statue for our Jock McHale ?? |  |

Well now, so they are going to erect a bronze statue in the Avenue of Honour of Sport, at the G, to little Hungry Bartlett. Fair enough I suppose, the little bugger did play heaps of games there, Finals, etc, and did play one helluva lot of games too. BUT, where the hell is a statue to the one and only greatest coach of them all, the one and only, our Jock McHale ?? How come Jock doesn't rate one, he OWNED the G with both Finals played, and Premierships won, including our four in a row ??
How come he continually gets overlooked, yet has a record there that is second too none. Norm Smith got one, why not Jock ?? Is this yet another biased anti Collingwood conspiracy, like the so called VFL=AFL Team of the Century, where not ONE magpie was picked, not farking one, not a Coventry, Collier, Regan, Daicos, McKenna, Millane, Bucks etc etc.
Sometimes the League shits me to tears, this is one of those times.

Bugger em all I say, no Pies statues at the MCG or Etihad (when the AFL take over).
Let them have their false idols.
We'll just put up statues of all the real greats, the ones who bled for the black and white jumper, at the Olympic Park site.
wasn't there a plan to ring the training oval with statues? Where's that plan gone? Or is Netball more important? |

No bronze statue for Jock because they are still making his statue…it takes a lot longer you see when the statue is made of pure gold!
