Well I know its early to talk trades, but given the disgusting gutless loss to Footscray last week, I feel we should start making some early calls upfront. A loss to Port Adelaide, well as far as the Corio Coterie is concerned, a few of the coaching department can be shown the door as well. But for the players, I think a fire sale approach would be well advised to raise some cash and recruit a team for 2017 to win the flag. Lets aim for some old wise heads that can stabilise our forward line and strengthen our mid field. Players other Clubs reckon are over it, but we feel could produce some miracles and you never know, push us with the right youth balance to a flag in 2017-18. I would go for:

Sam Mitchell
Stevie Johnson
Gary Ablett jnr
Nick Rewaldt

Now as crazy as it may sound, imagine those guys with our youth all firing; No one would expect it and it could lead to miracles.

PS: don't reply to this unless you are wanting to intelligently address the football issue raised here. Attacks on me or accusations about me drinking or my wife sitting on me etc will be reported to the mods.

OK im game, i would say those players youd like, we have as much chance of getting as Freo now making the finals. Plus, whilst they have been champions, all are at the endgame of their careers, the club wont touch any of them.

PASS! Freo's problem - not ours.
We dodged this bullet late in 1999; just as well we gave up pick#3 to Tiggers to get the elite McKee from their lair.
We got Roach, and they got Fiora. Win-win.
Could have really botched it and taken Robert Murphy or Joel Corey instead.

Phew... Laughing

I think we trade for Jarryd Roughhead. Could be a buyers market with Hawks willing to sell him at a huge discount.
