Apparently Buckley got stuck into a few players in a team meeting this week. Reports are that a few blokes were given a severe spray. Not the Buckley style from what I've seen, but the tough measures were needed.

And it bloody worked. l sincerely hope the new tough love approach is the template from now on. We have plenty of young blokes who need to be kept in line. Playing for Collingwood can inflate the egos of young men and the coaching panel and footy department need to be right on top of discipline.

Not just an issue for the Pies of course, but I've heard a few of our young blokes are so far up themselves that they can't be bothered with the little but important things like treating all people at the club and the supporters with respect.

Let's hope we can slowly begin to get our mojo back now.

You have had a great day today
Days like today don't come around a lot.
If it wasn't for bad coaching the last few weeks you would never had got such great odds!

This crap that Bucks has lost the players, mainly peddled by that piece of excrement Robbo, must now cease for all time. The plyers back him, and proved it beyond doubt tonight.

It was the influence of newcomer jez on this board that led to Buckley giving the spray Wink

We played the lions...

Anyone heard the term flat track bullies before? Our list is top 6 worthy and has been for the last 4 years. Until we do it for 4 quarters against a half decent side we are kidding ourselves. We lost to carlton FFS???? And primarily due to a coaching staff that refused to just go man on man.

Respectable win tonight. But tonight is nothing I didnt expect vs the lions before the season started. And I expected us to beat St Kilda, Melbourne and Carlton before the season started. Tonight is hardly anything to crow about. We beat a bottom 4 side, hurrah!

What must it be like to live/work with the negative people who post on this site. Thank goodness they are not working within the four walls of our great club.
Great win yesterday boys

What the hell is with the still negative vibe even in this thread?
I have certainly had my issues with our game plan & effort over the last few years. But we dominated Brisbane on their turf with a vastly undermanned team in. 43 shots to 13 & that doesn't count the 4 on the full kicks. Yeah our kicking for goal could have been better. But when you still moan about a 78 point belting you hand out when travelling interstate, you may have to ask yourself "am I overly negative"?

Enjoy the win for goodness sake. Tougher games are coming.

there were quite abfew who thought we'd lose and get annihilated ourselves. when the team is not travelling so well it's nice to be able to savour a win no matter who the opposition is.

Perhaps you over estimate our list. And perhaps this drives your disappointment in a decent win.
But perhaps you should just try really really hard......just a little bit....to enjoy a win??

How much would you expect a side towards the top of the ladder ie hawthorn, Geelong to beat the Brions by? ........50-100 points?

Because that's what we did. It may have "just been Brisbane" but we flogged them. Had we kicked straight it would have been an absolute massacre.

Try and derive just a minute amount of pleasure from it.

it was their biggest loss this year eclipsing their 77 point loss to port last week. sydney couldn't put them away and geelong won by 69 points with a home ground advantage at the cattery.

imagine the reaction if we'd only just got over the line.
