Here we have one of the most explosive midfielders in the AFL and he is forced to win his own ball and feed out handballs to lesser players.
Treloar has been magnificent for us in the circumstances this season.
We play Levi at half forward, Adams off half back, Crisp on the wing, yet allow Pendles and Treloar, our Ferraris, our stars, to win all the hard ball.
That's wrong.
Pendles and Treloar should be on the end of a handball chain, not the beginning, they are out stars.
Once we get better (next year hopefully if things change off field) Treloar will show his true potential.
He has the potential to be a top 5 player in the AFL, I firmly believe that. |
Great Write Up.
Outside of Probably De Goey and Pendles. Treloar has Nothing Around Him.
Agree. Him winning his own Ball Takes away his Biggest Weapon which is his Speed in his Run and Carry Game. That is something the Team is Badly Lacking last 2 games. Run and Carry. Ball Movement been Slow and Stagnate.
Another Thing that show how Little Bucks knows and how he has no idea |
How so Dave? We play Treloar in the guts and we're a chance at getting a clearance despite the fact we lose his outside run or we play him on the outside where we have a reduced chance of winning a clearance which means we lose the benefit of his outside run. It's a no winner. Bucks is doing the best he can because we've lost Swan and Adams. We've even lost Elliott's rotations through the midfield. |

We are going to bleed through the arse for another year over this... |
No matter what pick in the top 10 we end up giving away this year, it was never going to be used "live" by us anyway.
If you think other clubs were going to allow Brown and Daicos to come to us via FS without bidding, you must be high.
As it stands, we will now probably have to use the pick St Kilda gave us for Freeman to get Brown and for Daicos we will have to probably package up some picks for points - if I understand the bidding process correctly.
As for Treloar - a bird in hand... |
Dewd and others, thanks for the prompt replies over the Treloar deal.
I'll have a chew over those opinions as the next few weeks unfold.
And for what it's worth, I hope McGuire takes note of any club that bids on Brown and Daicos, so we can sabotage their drafting the next time they have a talented Father/Son on their radars in the years to come. _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

I don't blame them. I'd bid on a Whitten if he was as good as Moore is likely to be. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

But mate, it was more to sabotage our drafting. AS IF we weren't gonna take him after committing to it publicly.

Exactly, could easily have been like Melbourne and Viney. |

What happened there mate? If another club bid on him, they weren't exactly disadvantaged that year, as they traded picks to us for Dawes?
Viney was a steal at pick #26, the rest from 27 onwards reads as a spud farm, not many making an impact at AFL level...
They should be drawn and quartered however for selecting Toumpas ahead of Stringer or Wines; that is a FAIL every day of the week.

I posted some stats a week or so ago on here in regards to clearances, disposals effective disposals tackles inside 50's etc he was basically our top player or top 3 in every category with Pendles not far behind him.
I was actually surprised how many stats he appeared in across the board in all facets of the game.
He and Pendles are our only true A graders week in week out
Yeah he can get better and that's the scary thing. If we ever get our best midfield operating to its "potential" with him on the outside getting it from a Adams or DeGoey and linking with Pendles and running forward himself our side is about 5 goals a game better off. |

We need him, sidey and pendles on the outside.
Pity treloar and pendles are playing on the inside too much. _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest. |

^QldMagpie67, I reckon we may have found Adams rightful place, off a HBF where he is set to become a combination of Leon Davis 2011 and Nick Maxwell. It's the best coaching move Buckley has made, I think, only cruelled by the third qtr of the Footscray game. . _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

Interesting comments from Bucks appearing on the AFL website today - "Pies didn't pay 'overs' for Treloar".
His eyes are well & truly on the potential 'gold' already inside the club. |

His Kicking was not Great Last Night.
Also needs to Lower His Eyes when running into goal as seems to Go For it everytime and does not look for a Leading Forward _________________ I am Da Man |
