Really looking forward to the game today. The Bulldogs are a fantastic side who are lightening fast at moving the ball by hand and foot. To beat them we have to break their run and slow them down by covering the space they move to. GWS managed to do that last week helped by the injuries to Murphy and Johannisen, which has reduced the way the Bulldogs move the ball from the half back line. Bontempelli has been carving us up the last couple of years so he's the player we need to watch. Greenwood had a go at reducing his output the last time the two teams met, so I expect him to have another go at him. If we approach this game thinking about our ladder position and what it means for us if we lose, then we will lose. We go into this game with our form back and Treloar growing as a leader with each game that he plays. Pendlebury is back in the middle and Crisp played his best game for the season last week. If we play with a positive attitude, playing on whenever we get the ball and creating multiple options over the field for a player to kick to, or handball to a teammate, we can win this game. Alternatively, when the Bulldogs have the ball, we need to run back to cover space to help our teammates. Every player has to contribute. We finally have some continuity in the side having the same side as last week. Let's have an unchanged side next week as well by having every player playing well this week.

I hope the players are not as edgy as I am about today. If we play like were defending a score in the game we loose. Attack the pill and play on like we can, we win. Help each other and keep the foot on the throat pies. Cheer loud fans. Let's beat these dogs.

Big task, but we've got the momentum and renewed togetherness.

Midfield will be key, and everyone he needs to stand up. Adams was average last week, but will be better for the run. Disposal needs to improve, but the kid is determined, and yet to play his best football this season. Pendles has been building and Treloar outstanding, though need him to maintain that. Sidey has been prolific and in peak form. Crisp was fantastic last week and could do a job on Bont. I'd play greenwood on libba, unless they feel Bont isn't too big for him. Darcy needs to step up, and Mason hold firm on what he's delivered to date. Has been a revelation so far... can't wait to see what he can do in another 2 years, or even 2 months. So smart and committed. Frost, Reid and Howe will again be v important, as will the whole backline. No room for Toovey, Maynard or smith to be exposed... Though Sinclair may replace Maynard anyway.

Would love Faz to kick another bag, and for the talls to keep their form up. A win will give the boys even more confidence, whilst a loss could set the confidence back to 3 weeks ago. Home ground, 8 day break, underdogs, everything to play for...

Go pies!

We need to start well to win, that's a given, we aren't giving this Dogs side a head start and beating them.

The hope is the 5 changes they have made will make them start slow as the 22 get used to playing with each other again.

Our forward line is where we can gain an edge here, they really do lack for tall defenders so if we can get the ball into Cox, Moore and White quickly we can worry them.

Like my last two pre-game pitches, I see this one as very winnable for the Pies too. But unlike the past two games this one will hinge, in the end, on kicking accuracy for goal. Both teams will have ample scoring opportunities, but if the Pies don’t nail those gettable goals they will eventually fall short, just. A greasy ball due an early evening dew in the last quarter will make the job even harder.

Still waiting on news of any late changes. If White is dropped (ankle) expect Sinclair to come in with Howe shifted forward (but don’t be surprised if Sinkers sneeks forward to have a crack at the first goal)

Crisp or Faz for the 1st goal and the Pies by 1 - 39.

I have a good feeling about today, we will win this Wink

I hope there's no late changes because we need some stability, but White will cause problem for the Bulldogs defence if he plays today.

I wouldn't be as confident if Witts played today.

Exactly, play as we did like last week, high intensity, tackles, pressure and more pressure, and we can win this. Gonna be tough, as long as we have a red hot go I'm pleased, just hope we can get across the line. Smile
