Stui, one question: why did you mention Palmer United in brackets next to independents? Surely nobody but Clive and his few remaining employees are going to vote for him this year. Shocked

I didn't.

Culprit made the poll, not me. Razz

I simply made the independent option as if I kept going with all options it would end up like a Senate Ballot paper below the line. Geez. Shocked

Why, when they interview a party leader, do they have the nodding, smiling muppets behind them all the time?

TURN IT UP!

Touche. Embarassed But anyway, the point stands that Palmer's going the way of the dinosaurs (and his dinosaur park).

You forgot to add the nodding head as well. It's a an absolute farce set by some PR firm telling them it makes you look smart. Shocked Laughing

Mine was there abouts to. I'm closer to The Libs than I thought.
I could not be further away from the Greens? Thankfully!

If anyone's still trying to work out how to vote this election, the Daily Telegraph have provided a useful, non-partisan guide to what each party stands for:

It misses a lot of social issues that I'm quite progressive on and gets all the ones I'm conservative on. It put me in the far right, bottom corner yet I think marijuana should be legalized for example which is certainly not deeply conservative.

Still, I'm a Libertarian which does put me to the 'right' of the LNP on issues such as small government, freedom of speech and rights to self defence and economic freedom (not corporatism) so I guess it's pretty accurate.

Well, I was hoping this would give me an idea of who to vote for. Tells me I agree with the Libs 59% and Labor 51%.

Couldn't make out what the 'political landscape' graph was telling me. Sent it to a friend who responded with "Well that's not a lot of information but it shows that you're pretty evenly split between the 2 depending on what you find important. Like if you base your vote on things like environment and p00fters you're closer to the libs but economy and business shit you're closer to labor"

haha, gee, thanks, but who the f do I vote for??? Shocked

Your local Socialist Action candidate. If there is none, there will probably be a Communist candidate you can run with, in a pinch.
