8-14 might be a little too optimistic for this team. |
Looking at the rest of the games for the year, the most we'll win is maybe about 5... and that's being generous imo. |

We have more troubles than a room of country and western songwriters could ever imagine...
but
to amuse ourselves we could go C n W and come up with mock song titles...

I am sure the media will put an end to that. _________________ " Ohhh Banksy and out comes the Note Book".

We finished 12th last year and currently we're 13th separated from 12th by percentage. I think we'll finish higher than 12th this year, mainly because we've got no incentive to tank this year, so we'll probably pick up a few cheap wins in the back half of the year against teams who have put the cue in the rack. |

We need to win the next 2 to give ourselves any chance at all of finals football this season. |

If we do not beat carlscum this week then I think we'll end up winning somewhere in the region of 3-5 wins for the season. _________________ "Hey Ma get off the dang roof!" |

If we can win the next two we'll be four and four, which will position us to push for a finals birth if we're good enough. |

Careful Dangles. That sort of optimism will get you reported to the mods mate. _________________ 'Collingwood are the Bradmans of Football'

In 2002 or 2003 we were 6-6 at the half way point. It can be done, but doubtful in today's modern and unbearably boring zone and tactics style of play. _________________ Est. 2002 |

My tip is that the on field team will take a few more weeks to reveal the full horror of just how far away they are from being a decent football side. Try at least 3 or 4 years at best.
As those weeks slide by the optimists will begin to realise there is no time to turn the corner this year and that this coaching transition plan is a miserable failure.
The plan belongs to Ed. You may well expect there to be some accountability for such a definitive and long ranging plan that has failed so abjectly. But for the sycophants who have spent the best part of two decades claiming that no one else can be the president of Collingwood, this is going to create a problem.
There is now absolutely no way to do this without a good old fashioned Collingwood bloodbath. The electoral system has been rigged to ensure that. A few years ago Jack Kennedy encouraged myself and our merry band of nutters in the KOA to keep on keeping Ed accountable. And he was on the board!
Good old Australian apathy has got us here, but it will need nothing short of a revolution to make substantive change. What a quandary!
I think a new generation is about to get a real understanding of what 'Collingwood ruined my Life' was all about! _________________ Join the KOA at www.facebook.com/groups/knightsofabbotsford |

I went to round 1 at the SCG and was so traumatised that I have not posted since.
Rednecks and Thatcherite schoolboys can frolic unvexed by me in the VPT...
To quote the great J.J Forbes from The Big Men Fly:
"I don't care, I'm beyond caring."
However two things might cheer us all up:
Next year sees the return of up to six good players:
Keeffe, Swan, Thomas, Scharenberg, Ramsay and Elliot. Surely not all of them will be a bust. It's a handy infusion of talent.
Secondly, three more wins and we celebrate 1500 wins, the most by a long street in the comp. Assuming we only beat palookas, then it could take place against Port Adelaide in round 11 or Freo in round 14...
