Benny Kinnear, Danny Roach, Paul Sharkey or Luke Mullins, all of whom have worn the number with something approaching distinction in the last quarter of a century? |
something approaching distinction?
Each and every one a failed draft pick, all prior to Hine, and chooklotto'd by that ex-Essendon imbecile recruiter Judkins.
Kinnear was remotely serviceable at best... |
D.Swan, L.Davis were under Judkins watch, as well Tarrant, Fraser, N.Davis etc
He had plenty of hits along with his notable misses.
Would be actually interesting to see how the infallible D.Hine stacks up when lined up head to head, taking into account the amount of low picks Hines had in his favour. |
Hines getting on my nerves too, rest assured.
We could argue all day long over this, but rather pointless, as none of it changes the present state the club is in.
You will NEVER see me support Judkins - the FAIL king.
Remember Judkins engineered that whole trade pick #3/McKee/pick #7/Roach DISASTER which cost us Pavlich, after the #1 Fraser selection.
This genius, despite securing Tarrant in 1997, pissed away Nick Stevens for Wasley the Cripple.
You could argue Leon was a good selection at #34, which he was.
I would have preferred Lindsay Gilbee myself, for that pick.
Nick Davis had his hands tied to come to us it seems.
Prior to that he gave away our 1998 1st round pick to Essendon, for that f*cken thing Oleranshaw, which could have secured us Ramanaskus, prior to his sickness which ended his career.
And of course Swan was a fluke, who would have been punted very quickly for his antics off field, had Tony Shaw still had the reigns!
But yes, i'm sure there is a thread on the forum [somewhere] comparing their respective draft successes/failures. _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

None of those guys wore number 30, though, did they? |
