Hello to all .

First. If you are going to run a poll to roll me as president at least get the spelling of my name right!!!!

Second. Don't hang me for something we haven't even commented about.

Third. Please remember I actually barrack for Collingwood.

Fourth. Relax, don't panic, I do everything possible for the positive enhancement of our club and membership. Remember we did do the deal at the MCG, 18 games in Melbourne etc.

Five. Trust me.

When we have something to say we will. At the moment people are speculating on a private meeting. There is nothing to report.

Six. I finally worked out my password! Happy to correspond either through myself posting or Eugene.

We read these forums daily. Some of the stuff is funny, some alarming, some stupid, some inspired but always passionate.

Don't ever forget all of us on the board and in management absolutely love our club. Love our members who we see as family members not inconveniences. We hear everything you say and we decide what is the best way forward.

Sometimes the things we do may not be obvious at first glance and I'm happy for people to challenge or question decisions or directions we are taking but remember everyone is doing the best that can be done.

No one wants a premiership more than me, plenty want it as much.

We all want our club to be the biggest, best and happiest. I make every decision through the eyes of a supporter.

Don't get yourselves all revved up about standing up and carrying on at the AGM. Ask through here, come to the AGM put your questions in a manner conducive of the event and have a chat over a drink at the bar after the event.

Remember the politicians are up on Saturday not at the Collingwood AGM.

Stay safe.

Floreat Pica.

Eddie.

Ed, you've always had the full support of the vast majority of fans including Nicksters. Many thanks for all your great work, for bringing great people, passion and ideas into the club, and for setting us up first off the park and now on it to have a sustained crack at a string of premierships.

A few nutters and attention seekers overrepresented on forums and in displays of public stupidity at AGM's won't derail the lasting foundation and winning culture you've painstakingly assembled.

Again, much appreciation to you Ed and the whole management team. May the combined passion and dedication of us all bring in a string of those cups we so desire!

Thanks for that Ed.

Great to see that the club does listen to/read what the supporters have to say.

People like the nutter that started that other thread are the minority as some one else said.

I'll never forget the night you joined us behind the goals in Sydney a few years ago, sensational, how many other presidents would do that? (don't know if you follow the english premiership, but Mike Ashley, owner of Newcastle United, is giving you a run for your money on that one at the moment haha, when are you going to pull on the stripes in the outer??)

I can see why you are President, Ed - calm, reasoned comments and requests! If only a greater number of Nicksters could sit back & think about things before they start going off on one....

One thing I am confident of: whatever you & the CFC have suggested to the AFL, it will be in the best interests of the Club. It just remains to be seen whether the AFL comes to the party. Fingers crossed!

He was down there conducting the faithful in song on the dying minutes of the Sydney game a few weeks ago too. For a few minutes everyone forgot about the game and just started singing the song.

Anyway, glad to have you back Ed, and as for Gold Coast "proposal" i think its certainly going to be a contentious issue...but if we are seriously thinking about it, i'd love to hear some tentative details of how it would work.

Note that i think (from reading the threads on the topic) that a lot of the support it does have is almost entirely contingent upon the AFL scheduling only our Interstate away games up there. Personally i think our "Home" games at the Injury Dome would also be a fair deal.

I reckon if we went from say 18 games in melbourne in some years, and 17 in others with about 14 at the MCG...to say 16 in Melbourne...all at the MCG, 5 or 6 in Carrara, with 1 (if only 5 at C) in Sydney at Telstra Stadium...mightn't be too bad a deal either if the AFL threw in a few perks likeNo Away strip...ever (hell, it'd be worth it just for that), and maybe a 'per game' financial kickback. Could be onto a winner.

Oh yeah...Burns for Captain. Go Pies!

Welcome back Eddie. I hope everyone respects the fact that you and Eugene do post on here and read what is said and don't expect you to instantly respond to every nutter with an axe to grind.

You know Eddie, when the Pope passed away I was worried that they'd pick you as his successor and take you away from us!
