Just switched telly on, Southport playing Redland replay. Jack Anthony at full forward for Southport and Yagmoor at fullback for Redland. Good battle, by golly Jack is still a terrific kick.

Yags a bit undersized to be playing on Jack, how's he going? Recall him taking on similar jobs in the VFL and doing okay.

the other night i watched yags against nt thunder and he looked to be playing well. he has quite a laconic disposition which i think went against him during our time with us.

Yep, surprised he finds time for all his recent posting on Nicks

Who was the best goal kick at Collingwood?
My answer ... Craig Davis!

Best kick? Has to be Macca.

Yep, if you were old enough to see the great man play, he was the one you'd want kicking for your life. Most of the time it was "put down your glasses". Daics was no slouch in the accuracy department either.

It depends on the historical context, because it changes from time to time.

Trav is so obvious, Charlie was awkward, but at times effective.

He was the best kick of the last 50 years, bar none. His accuracy stats are irrelevant - Macca had more shots from difficult angles and distance than any good forward I have ever seen for the simple reason that he was more likely to kick a goal from 55 yards out on the boundary than most modern players would be to kick a goal from 25 metres out, directly in front, so he always took the shot.

Thought exactly the same!

Yep, close run thing I'd reckon. McKenna aided by the fact that he took a lot of shots from 35-40m DIF after receiving bullet like passes from his midfield. Daicos got better the harder the shot on goal be it because of angle or distance out.

Good points there.
