I actually thought Smith had some wheels as well but was rethinking that following Monday as I thought he looked a little 1 paced.

Very insightful stuff Neil, I agree particularly with the Cloke diagnosis. He may have a bad case of can't forgive himself. That's always a tough hurdle to clear.
