OK, I'm not here to argue for or against Bucks. People seem to have pretty firm opinions one way or the other.

Maybe people don't like his game-plan, or lack of one. Maybe some don't think he does enough to motivate players. Maybe some think he is too rigid and not flexible enough to cope with individuals like Lumumba, Heater etc. I don't share those opinions, but they are all valid arguments nonetheless.

However, no-one can tell me that the players are off-side with Bucks. Today showed the players are at one with each other and the coach. No doubt Bucks' position as coach will continue to come under further scrutiny as the season progresses, but let not anyone post any bullshit to the effect that Bucks has lost the players. That's just total bullshit. Nuff said.

Well said Rude
Watching the boys get around each other after the goals that were kicked showed solidarity.
Even their general play they played for each other.
Didnt look like a disgruntled side at all.
Yep, some dont like Bucks, the plan pr pretty much anything that has Bucks associated with it but thats their right.
Me? I rate him.
The team? I rate em.

Some hard days ahead but i still believe some very very positive signs ahead.

Just my opinion.

Go Pies

My perception is Bucks let the players enjoy the win. He stood back at the end of the game when the trophy was being handed to the Captain as he wanted the win to be about them and not him.

I remember the rabid "Sack Malthouse" crap back in '06, when we had another young group of up and comers starting their run at the premiership.

The more things change...

I don't really think there's a school of thought that the players don't like him. I think the anti-Buckley brigade just reckon he can't coach.... I'm not in that camp, I have faith but I acknowledge their arguement.

The body language I see tells me that they love him. Many played footy with him And the new kids idolise him. I honestly don't reckon their is any rift anywhere. That's just an excuse journo's go looking for when teams start losing.

Or he wasn't out on the ground yet because the game finished at 5:55 and Ch7 had the ceremony rushed in before the 6:00 news...

Wow , one win against a team of discarded hacks and babies and we get this.
People have judged Bux over 4 and a half years not 120 minutes.
And even today we lost the last 60 minutes.
Today was a good day and I think Sidey and Adams and Varcoe in the first half did extremely well.
We have an easy draw this year so making a run towards the finals is what we want.
Lets see how we go against good sides before the trumpets start blowing.
The VFL was a mess yesterday so there isn't much there.
Personally with Bux it isn't about winning so many games, it is all about directions and structure and heart.
We have 2 big games in the next month with the Eagles and Cats.
Lets wait for these games to see what direction we are heading in.

Can't tell today but we did look a lot better disposal ball movement. Essendon played like us in the first four weeks

Could be as well. I reckon we will find out why tonight.

As for his coaching, my view is he is jinxed and whatever can go wrong, does go wrong. We win today, but lose Varcoe.

Have my doubts about some of our set ups and structures but never thought Bucks has ever lost the players. I thought those 5 weeks last season where we lost to the top 4 teams narrowly showed how much the players are invested.

Great to see the mids in form but it was Essendon. Let's see how we go in Perth. Taylor Adams game today should be his bar. After his season in 2015, today should be the norm. Throw in Steele, Treloar and Pendles and we will be competitive against most teams.
